My umbrella shields the rain,
my bandaid hides my pain,
the mask hides my expressions,
the pills shield my aggression.
My umbrella broke,
my bandaids soaked,
the mask cracked,
the pills back-lashed,
and once again I am insane.

I feel a cosmic unification, a cross
hemispherical commingling of thought
elevating awareness of the outside
energies ebb and flow, existing in
harmonic resonance with the earth

Contemplate
disappearing in the mist
someone loved, someone kissed
now it's time to fade away
while at the start of a new day
sunshine on the morning sea
flat and calm and peacefully
embracing all who contemplate
who are entranced, who do not wait
for whatever is to come -
evaporating mist as Sun
seems to rise into the sky
spinning Earth the cosmic tie
moving on and on and on
through plasma seas where all belong
from the moment when we rise
perceiving wonder with our eyes

Go to the Sea
get out, get away and go to the sea
relax, let go, while mindfully
absorbing the calm moments before
returning amidst the traffic's roar
in the distance a ferry gleams as the Sun
peeks through the clouds, day has begun
travelers traveling, birds in the sky
all of a sudden a loosening tie
to thinking thoughts bringing me down

trying to do yoga while body stoned
Took CBD oil before my yoga class
and now my body feels too good
for these borderline torture positions
I'm trying to pull myself into
but I'm here
and I can't just lie on the mat
for the next hour
Well, I could, but I would fall asleep
and that would defeat the purpose
of braving the morning rush
to be here
in semi-flexible agony
that makes my body feel
almost normal
Yoga does for my body
what dosing myself with
prescription level
anti-inflammatories doesn't

every breath and heartbeat

every act of kindness

Wind Doth Slice
the joy of life as wind doth slice
through the atmosphere -
sky is blue with clouds in view
moving as if we're
standing still up on a hill
enjoying a warm day
with senses satisfied in
every single way -
birds which sing as they begin
calling from the trees,
feeling we're surrounded
by living entities
both underground and too where sound
