I still love remembering you.
I want to know
if you heard...
If you know what the scar tastes like
that your voice placed in my soul.
Maybe we even dream,
the same dream...
Maybe you'll call me from above
from the mountains of your dream...
A subtle bitterness, your name loaded
on cold lonely nights.
I feel the weight of time, endless,
dragging every worn memory.
In the dark silence of the bowels,
an echo resonates, empty and lost.
A deep, never-ending tiredness
marks of a love
that was never called love.
The words we always...
if you heard...
If you know what the scar tastes like
that your voice placed in my soul.
Maybe we even dream,
the same dream...
Maybe you'll call me from above
from the mountains of your dream...
A subtle bitterness, your name loaded
on cold lonely nights.
I feel the weight of time, endless,

ALMOST THERE (I)-(original draft) (East Flagship Hotel Pier Jetty, Galveston Island Texas; 1-29-1997)
i took a trolley
to the beach
walked out to the end of a jetty
gazed numbly out over
this vast gulf of mexico s
seemingly endless horizon
then silently thought to myself
almost there

Life in a state hospital circa 1900
Many trapped in their own hell
Are either deranged, aged or unwell
The guests who chose to stay aloof
Lie wrapped in rugs upon the roof
A statue with a gas-lamp torch
Has toppled over on the porch
The way others wish to go
Have been obscured by drifted snow
Unknown objects falling from the air
The careful stroller better beware
It's known that the skating pond conceals
A family of enormous eels
Those who have escaped can die with dignity
Tortured, raped & beaten by the malignity
The monuments above the dead
Are too...

Taste of Blight
It touches first, a breath of dust
a bitter kiss on air
a taste that sinks beneath the skin
and lingers, unaware
The Blight, it moves with purpose slow
a poison bred in dark
it spreads like ink in veins of earth
a stain without a mark
It tastes of ash, of copper blood
of iron ground to rust
a weight that presses on the tongue
and turns all things to dust
It grows, it knows—beneath the taste
there’s something worse within
A hunger, vast and sentient
with rot beneath its grin
It whispers...
a bitter kiss on air
a taste that sinks beneath the skin
and lingers, unaware
The Blight, it moves with purpose slow
a poison bred in dark
it spreads like ink in veins of earth

he says
couldn’t make it up the hill without
you holding my hand -
and it’s not about the state of my knees,
it’s about love ..

Refraction of Broken Minds
Sanity's sewers and wells
There the fires do sweep
Walk with me in hell
Where madness goes to weep
Symmetry of perfections scars
Resplendence of the veil
A tapestry of angelic stars
Seek clarity beyond the pale
Dance on Armageddon's grave
Tendrils of a neural disease
Spit blood, rant, and rave
Of tumors eager to please
Pain of abstract cancers
Grasping the frail mind
Sea of infectious dancers
Insanity so easy to find ...

How many chemicals can you pronounce that are in your foods?
Hey!
Ever read the ingredients in processed foods sold in the US? It's a laundry list of additives that you probably can't spell, let alone pronounce.
Look at that same item that's being sold in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, or any other Industrialized country on planet Earth. None of those long, complex words are nowhere to be found in their ingredients.
You may ask yourself, but why...
Well the reason is that the food industry has a very strong lobbying presence in the United States. A lot of times those voices are really heard, and they...

Metamorphoses
The transformation from a
Walking to a wheeling person
Opened the gate to a
Dark night of the soul
How I missed dancing
Playing volleyball
Riding my bike and
Roaming the woods!
Shame swallowed me
Self-pity drowned me in tears
Self-hatred got the best of me
Failure threw me into an abyss
Looking into the mirror
I saw a weak disabled body
Craving desperately my attention
Merciless I turned away
When I was at my lowest
An angel in the shape of a man
