My Christmas Wish
My Christmas Wish is……..
For an end to hunger and dread
and that everyone gets fed
With enough water to drink
like in my kitchen sink
An end to all illness and disease
the answer to the prayers of millions on their knees
Santa I don’t to need see your sleigh
or for you to drop by to say hey
Just put these things on your list
because they are my Christmas wish
That we live in harmony with respect
as one with all hands on deck
We are all crew with one captain in command
whether you live in...
For an end to hunger and dread
and that everyone gets fed
With enough water to drink
like in my kitchen sink
An end to all illness and disease
the answer to the prayers of millions on their knees
Santa I don’t to need see your sleigh
or for you to drop by to say hey
Just put these things on your list

That we live in harmony with respect

The Days of Whine and Roses
FLOTUS killed off all the WH roses
and looks down on us with her cold steel poeses
News that she cares is all fake
and about the hungry I am waiting for her to say "Let Them Eat Cake"
POTUS continues to whine about the election being stolen
while MAGA cult members keep his bank account swollen
He wants to take credit for the Covid-19 vaccine
but the blood on his hands from 300K dead make them unclean
Over 50 court cases attempting to overturn the election he has lost
but continues his dreams of a Coup...

A Day Out in London Town
Cor blimey it's London! ~ a wet winter's day,
The stream in the gutter swills fancies away.
'eavans 'ave opened, the wind 'n' the rain,
All of your credence is washed down the drain.
A walk by the river that rolls along still;
You turn up your collar to turn out the chill.
Old Father Thames is right showin' 'is age
By slushy pavin' along the Bird Cage.
The electric of neon, flashin' aglow,
It lights up the shadows, it lights up Soho.
A sidestep down Dean Street where philosophers roam ...
The stream in the gutter swills fancies away.
'eavans 'ave opened, the wind 'n' the rain,
All of your credence is washed down the drain.
A walk by the river that rolls along still;
You turn up your collar to turn out the chill.

tears for the unseen
tears well in my eyes
I cry for the unseen
holding signs
dear god please give them enough drugs
to make them forget they don't have a home today
enough drink so they sleep tonight
and please turn up the sun so they stay warm
a dark lord prayer for sure
but it's from the heart
tears roll down my face for the war torn
struck with PTSD can't live in society anymore
does anyone give a fuck?
judge not what you know not
I can pop off at anytime
but be for the grace of god go I
screaming at the skies ...

This isn't Wonderland Anymore
Hello, Hero won't you step right in?
Crystal just left to put on her face
You know how spastic she's been.
Dearest Hero, the tea is just in,
Won't you sit down and have a glass?
We haven't met but I've seen you before.
Passed in the halls but I missed that class.
Have a silver spoon to stir the 'mile
I do hope it isn't too hot
Not too unbearable to feel.
Connecting the dots seems too reaching
Especially since the year's been insane
But Hero, I'm not the Mad Hatter,
You're not Alice... It's a pity...
Crystal just left to put on her face
You know how spastic she's been.
Dearest Hero, the tea is just in,

let me be salt
Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites
do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others.”
—Matthew 4:2 ESV
i clamour not to have my name
immortalised in gold
my service yield i not for fame
mercy has been paroled!
my right hand knows not what my left
conspires or circumvents

For the love
In the ghetto streets
of Orange Grove
where the feet
of Jozi's hungry drove
carts of plastic
or paper sheet
Lived the haunting
of a spell binding
prison
in tunnels
unwinding

where the feet
of Jozi's hungry drove

Gone Girl
Come home
Lost girl
She’s a
Gone girl
With dirt beneath her nails
And blood dampened blonde hair
Come back
Troubled child
Never thought
She’d wander so
And mess around
With shadows and evil souls
Come back
It’s warm inside
Before the bitter storm
Eats you alive
Skin and bone
She’s shrinking numb
Slowly turning
To ashy stone
Come home
Lost girl
She’s a

You See Me
All you rank strangers
dragged and whipped about,
you don't deserve my tears,
they will boil first before I
set gaze upon your broken
smiles as you whisper
and hint at my rotten luck.
You see the birthmarks of
my sins, the scars that flame
from my bloodless arms,
my buckled knees, my chinless
jaw, you see!
You see me faded
out, licking the curb at midnight,
fighting the nod as quarters
fly faceless into the ruined gutter
beneath my empty cup.
You see me there
in your nightmares, ...

I Come from a City Where
It's a city where people wake up early and the sky is the hue of gray like their souls that hold no hope. They see nothing to look forward to as the sun rises over them. I come from a city where the drug dealers post on the corners, they hope drugs will make them 1 million dollars and they wish to leave this earth rich. They avoid police no Snitchin' won't speak. The single mothers work two jobs just so the kids can eat. The kids get high all day b/c that's what they saw the old heads do during times of distress. A city where women are subject to the catcalls of the sidewalk parade. She's...

He's homeless
he's got nowhere to go
all he owns
is his guitar
and a transistor radio
and when he's
feeling like
he can't go on
he sings his songs
on the subway
he sounds
a little like dylan
plays like b.b. kng
and he feels
like he's someone
when they listen
to him sing
his only prayer
is one day
he'll get a break
and he can make
a record
how his heart aches
for him
it's not about the money

Sake Nights
stumbling down a dark aisle
of an empty restaurant
my brain soaked in sake
my fingers covered in red sauce
the watch on my wrist reads three a.m.
but i'm sure it's much later than that
because i'm panicked
my friends have fled
my woman has disappeared
my teeth ache with homesickness
the bruise on my cheek has swollen
the cracks in my knuckles now bleed
with loss
and all i want
is to be poured into a taxi
and
taken home
but i have no home
i have no woman
no friends
no cash
