I guess it really is over
The final tether torn asunder
Ripped to shreds like my love for you
Unrecognizable pieces of my heart strewn about
A foolish part of me
Held on desperately
The notion that we could work

Before it has started
A cold wind
Freezes my heart
And the pain tears us apart
Always weeping
inside my chest
I had to tell him
I couldn't string this along
Our two hearts were once one
Now only emptiness
I call home
Our time will fade
The end of all today
A blackened sun
