The Power of Poetry
Every little word means so much,
Faithful and true but words aren't enough,
Line after line,
It's comfort I find,
Page after page,
Released from a cage,
Word after word,
Let's reverse this hurt,
Every poem I manage to create,
Builds a new house that's great,
Without words what would we say?
Help me find a brighter day,
When the earth is shaking I write,
When I don't feel like waking I hide,
The broken pieces keep on breaking,
Every life is worth saving,
You dont have to be perfect to live, ...

Gifts Of Life
Not awaken while living
To the silent breath flowing
To the mystery of hearing
To the wonder of seeing
Not awaken while living
To the divine weight of giving
To the hidden Hands us holding
To the heavenly call “Live with meaning”
Not awaken while living
To how fragile life is and fleeting
To how precious God’s many a blessing
To His Grace and Mercy we are witnessing
When deeply shaken
As life suddenly taken
Aware to be mistaken
The heart, to see would be able
How we are gently held...

It's time to tell your parents.
I want them to know
that you will be okay.
That you will have joy
above the weight of common things.
That their concern may cease.
That you will hold onto happiness
every day, like apples in a basket.
That I will cradle you
in the now,
as they had, decades past.
I will cradle you
during movies
eclipses
any of the pauses
that may present itself.
And I will wrap around you,
during the midnights,
when the wolves within mankind howl. ...
I want them to know
