Poems about Freedom
#freedom
Poems about freedom and what it means to truly be free. Poetry about having the freedom to act, speak, and think as you want, and what it means when those rights are taken away. Poetry about situations and parts of the world where people have to fight for their freedom. Also, poetry about freeing yourself from a difficult past.
I'm Not A Little Girl Anymore, Dad!
You're always telling
me what to do, Dad!
But no more because
I allowed myself to
pose topless in front
of this photographer
no matter what type
of garbage you keep
on force feeding me!
me what to do, Dad!
But no more because
I allowed myself to
pose topless in front
of this photographer
no matter what type
of garbage you keep
on force feeding me!

Epitome of Now
I wish I knew how to paint, so I could print this moment outside of this bed and others could see and feel what I'm experiencing.
There's nothing here but everything compressed inside a tiny moment that will fade in the morning. Still, it is beautiful.
The shape of your lips, the texture of your skin, your smell, your taste, our absolutely intimate casuality.
It's nice to know that I can love something without romanticizing, that I can feel you penetrate my soul while my body is intact, that I can be ok with the no disclosure because the act was never a play meant...

off-the-grid club
I'd do it- but I wouldn't/couldn't do it alone; I'd need community-others I could trust; in this life- I never wanted much-and this "new age social media" thing- isn't my stuff; introvert at one's core- only so much one can adjust....
I've been inspired- but this matrix is tough.... what works for one- for another would be more rough; I'd always be content with just enough; but there's a certain way to move out here or else one could get crushed....

Entitle(d)ment
Meanwhile in another (W)alternate universe...
And when the Great voice was heard over the loudspeakers
The declaration of a free society had been rightly proclaimed
So from the eccentric tycoon to the common job seeker
Money became an obsolete thing of dishonor and shame
In the cities everyone went into the streets to burn their bills
Stock had no more power or meaning from borrower to lender
For all across the globe leaders had picked up their quills
Making bartering and human kindness the new legal tender
And no matter the time...

Spaceship Satellite
Spaceship Satellite
Can you here me
La la la la..
Losing control like
La la la la
I make music to feed souls
And fill holes.
Spaceship to ground control
Do you see me out in the distance?
Floating out here, there ain't no resistance.
Climbing to the top of my thoughts,
Broadcasting them from my spaceship satellite.
I'm up here alone,
But it sure feels nice.
I'm floating home,
Just roaming right.
Inside my starship interior
Real feelings,
Ain't none inferior.
Will...
Can you here me
La la la la..
Losing control like
La la la la
I make music to feed souls
And fill holes.
Spaceship to ground control
Do you see me out in the distance?
Floating out here, there ain't no resistance.
Climbing to the top of my thoughts,
Broadcasting them from my spaceship satellite.
I'm up here alone,
But it sure feels nice.

Abandoned Liberty
Persistent
With her cold feet forced
Her bland eyes stare
You and I won’t comprehend
Her soul bound by custom
Despotism her pain
Demeanor, dull and dreary
Disown their desolate ways
Forsaken by their faith
Traditions and tyranny
Beliefs, brutality
Mutilation and misery
Suppressed by their sect
Heartbreak and hardships
Subject to suffer
Accused and abused
She’s dressed up but covered
With nowhere to go
Her eyes tell a story
You’ll never know
Her hurt caused by creed ...

~defenseless
in the heart of auburn equatorial sun
drumming wild with wet thunderbeats
of shrinking craniums & surfacing
uraniums- with winking tricky glints
of golden diamonds, busy feeding
the bloodied cartels
where also the social bonobos
still thrive in the feminine reigns
enriched by the gushing wide
riverine Congo & the falling high
Zongo in sand~ slurried screens
i stand (fading pale and blinded
as a frailly miniature grouped out ant ...

Echoes of Dignity
Be with compassion,
Don’t collude with the unconscious,
To manipulate innocent souls,
To use their bodies for gold.
Your body is precious,
Your house till you no longer breathe,
Beware how you treat it,
Think what’s best for it.
Humans have made you objects,
Objects of gratification,
To spread your bosom and legs,
To deprive your freedom.
Young woman wake up,
From that deep sleep,
Know your power,
You are the pillar of society.
Without you, we would never exist,
We live to serve you, ...
Don’t collude with the unconscious,
To manipulate innocent souls,
To use their bodies for gold.

standing
orderly
in their
shelves,
each with
their own
identity,
each day
some travel,
but come
morning,
they are
all
once again
quiet and
at home.
