The wallflower`s perch

It survives, with toes its foothold
to crevice, or slim ledge
reflecting the sun, in colours so bold,
expressions of scent,
clinging to the edge
A salutary lesson; mind in isolation
fighting all the knockout blows
hanging holds, be our obsession
the screw that turns, but remain composed

The solemn rain
Washes away
Uncovers truth
Manna from the clouds
To earth, a gift to you
The effervescent reflection
In the stormy grey peace
It stills, within your soul
Spring child,
As the tulips bloom
Sol returns home
For you
Their petals open, in delight
As they celebrate
Another year of your life
