Gaza and the pope
Gaza and the pope
The pope who died was known to cry
when told of the horror in Gaza
he sent Israel a mild-mannered rebuke
When the pope was young, he rode
a big motorbike in Buenos Aires
persistent rumor tells he did more riding
The question hangs in the air
has he got a son?
If so, was his mother a prostitute he
had tried to lead away from sin
To make matters worse, was she a Jewish
Was the rumor, even as baseless
hanging there, hindering the pope
to speak out against the horror in Gaza?

The Devils Sonnet
The moon, it whispers
such violent things,
the devils sonnet,
beelzebub sings.
Through my window,
upon my bed,
it’s beams they taunt me,
this concert of dread.
The sweetest melody
of chaos and fear.
For when the moon
whispers, the demons
draw near.

The sweetest melody

For when the moon

Shadows
Shadows Speak
In the hollow of night,
where whispers coil,
Darkness blankets like a shroud of soil,
Echoes of screams that rattle the bone,
A cadence of sorrow, a heart turned to stone. Beneath the suffocating weight of despair, Dreams lie shattered—fragments in air.
With bruised emotions and eyes void of light,
I stumble through shadows
that consume me whole, each fright.
Abuse clings tighter than chains forged in pain, And silence is heavy, a storm without rain.
Yet deep in this darkness, a flame flickers dim
The will to fight...

In the heart of night
In the heart of night,
where shadows whisper secrets,
pain dances, a cruel partner
in a waltz spun of despair.
Life, a tapestry woven with frayed threads,
each stitch a reminder
of battles fought in silence,
of dreams carried on shoulders
too weary to bear their weight.
Here, in the cradle of darkness,
where breath feels like a burden
and laughter echoes like a forgotten song,
the spirit wanders—
an echo of what once was,
yet never fully lost,
searching for glimmers
through the cracked edges of existence. ...

Pressure, pressure
Why can’t they leave him alone
Today the bay window
Demonstrates a panorama of beauty
He longs to go there
Taste the salt sea
To sail away from all this
Back to Jamaica
To places he had been when young
When laughing in the rain
When there was a now
The future too far away to contemplate
Clouds are gathering
There will be rain in the afternoon
The bay window
Has tearstains from
Too many yesterdays
Why can’t they leave him alone
Today the bay window

IF YOU CANT SEE ME
I you can't see my silence as pain and hurt
If your can't see me on the bottom in the dirt.
If you can't see me grubby with stains of fear and stinking with streaks of self doubt that shout rinse me out.
if you can't see me at my base camp with nothing how on earth will you be able to truly hear me above the silence of sound.
All I am trying to do is breathe inhale exhale until I know my mind is a rest amongst life's tapestry.
Where my thread is durable and bright enough to be seen when I know my worth.

Writers thoughts
I write and write for hours, you see,
With ink-stained fingers, I set my thoughts free.
Words dance on paper, a rhythm, a song,
Yet silence replies, where do I belong?
The clock ticks away, as shadows grow long,
Each line that I craft, feels both weak and strong.
I pour out my heart, my dreams and my fears,
But the echo I hear just adds to my tears.
In each stanza I weave, a story untold,
Hoping for warmth, a connection to hold.
Yet the stillness surrounds me, a heavy, soft shroud,
I whisper my musings but never aloud. ...

Ports In A Storm
The 'Doreen B'
A Dutch coaster
In stormy seas
Was like more a roller coaster
The bleeping toys
For buoys
Guiding lights
Until land is in sight
The fear goes
As one alights
And once again
There is earth
Beneath your feet
Another voyage
Now complete
Grateful
To find a safe port
In a storm
Something that now
Feels forlorn
No more than a wish
To avoid rotting fish
No red herrings...

Humankind
In an article, the question was what is the meaning of life? Many answers were about personal fulfillment and what made a person happy, but no one could answer that question. This I think is because we in the West are not religious, we do not believe in a God we are alone and that is scary and has an echo of colossal loneliness and the universe is empty
Night and day, light and dark, the fundament of

POETRY UNSAFE
She doesn't like to see me
take bath in the sun
or cross the doors naked
the body frightens her
even in the dark
as if buried in dust
the whole year passes
with her turning on me
like rheumatic twinge
emptiness haunts
with mind in the gutter
poetry unsafe

An Endless Sadness
Had a nightmare last night. It was quite dark and disturbing like many of them. My friend Joe was in it, telling me I had changed. That I wasn't the girl he thought he knew. That he didn't want to talk to me. That I was tainted now. Forever. Josh was saying it, and anyone I ever knew said these things.
I woke up like I usually do, like I'm getting out of a trance rather than a nightmare.
I personally hate it when people say to not let someone or something have so much power over you. Because I'm already good at that, considering my situation. But if something, even if...
