Hemet
I remember it was early in the winter of ‘89
My family was attending a church retreat
Somewhere in the California desert
Somewhere in those hills
In those days
Hemet was very much a desert town
The second night I was there
I remember some of us went out to the campfire
It was cold
But in the desert
Away from all the light pollution
The sky was lit up with all kinds of stars
And at fourteen
Impressionable by faith
I felt that something bigger than me was out there

Arrival
A twin is coming
No good a running
I tell you brother
One follows the other
At first will be bad
Then you will be glad
I tell you Sire
You're in the mire
Don't be afraid
You're here to be made
I tell you mister
Soothe your sister
A twin is nearing
It's what you're hearing
I tell you Master
You're sinking faster
It's what you have yearned
Everything must be earned
I tell you my friend
This is not the end
As the chapter it ends
And the light it bends

Let Thy Will Be Done
I am tired of going to that daunting low vibrational dimension, Archangel Michael, my Earthly incarnate Spiritual King
Those creatures down there do not understand the spiritual laws of life, death, rebirth, they thrive off the existence of money bags, vanity, and the wearing of gold chains, encasing their neck to keep the mind incarcerated with material wealth in the name of bling bling
Why should I continue to waste my time on souls who are just not listening
Do not know the portal by the tides, and why the stars in the sky are still...

7 Commandments of Consideration Challenge; The Ultimate Pleasant and Prosperous Partnership
I want to walk with you; I will stand beside you as you fight.
I want to campaign as your champion; I will battle where you are unable.
I want to celebrate your wins and fight to understand our losses; I will learn to harmonize with you.
I want to invariably cherish your mind; I will always listen and speak to you in a nature befitting of your worth.
I want to constantly conspire to compromise; I will consistently strive for balance.
I want to care for our flock forevermore; I will ritually personify purpose.
I want to confidently...

I deserve it all
Twice the peace; twice the grace... Sound mind; steady pace
All the heights; I’m meant to chase... Man; I deserve it all.
Fewer foes; sharpest plans... Golden stocks and bigger brands
Built it up with my own hands... Yea; I deserve it all.
Shining stones; my wrist aglow... Seats reclined; the engines roar
Waves that kiss my private shore... I deserve it all.
Respect my name; let praises ring... Islands where the palm trees swing
Every blessing wealth can bring... I deserve it all.
For the my sister who left too...

In Search of the Incredible
Life is made up of poems, prayers, and promises;
fantasies, dreams, and wishes;
lazy days, naps, and good intentions;
family, friends, and even a few who don't like us;
good times, bad times, and days without meaning;
joy, pain, and sorrow;
success, failure, trails and tribulation;
health, sickness, struggling to survive;
the passing of youth, the years of responsibility, and old age;
Somewhere in the middle of it all is a deep unending faith
in the good God above.
After all, wise Solomon told us the purpose of life

Post tenebras lux
Delicious seclusion lying beside the lighthouse
eye-swimming in crusted compass of the seas,
talking about the weather until Idaho vowels closed my mouth
Marlboro lips curled semaphore smoke
and me and my heart, we just knew
Tightrope of lips
taut between our loyal space
and wall cracks where only rain survives

Timber Falls
"Timber Falls"
Scarred in judgment, but I can only laugh
Because I know the splendors of my path
These eyes of March can see you killer
My karma sturdy, brick & mortar pillar
Two lifetimes & I'm still thick in the skin
Hatch a plan, crawl from beneath sin
Crying only softens the blow a small while
To all world leaders, smaller than a child
Without enemies my heart loves you all
Kindness not a weakness so timber falls
Desire of my chest burns hotter than hell
Pulse & pound caught in...

Dearest
Oh God,
I am so grateful
To wake up with the sun
And put away still soapy dishes
Burn my tongue on
Too sweet coffee
Watch birds fly to the cover of the trees
As the rain lightly falls
To turn the heater up to 70
And to feel both warmth and cold
My God, how grateful I am to be alive
I am so grateful
To wake up with the sun
And put away still soapy dishes
Burn my tongue on

Witnesses of a No-God
Depressevangelicals,
a curious subculture
that has emerged
over the last few decades,
represent an intriguing phenomenon
in the religious and social scene.
With depressive tendencies,
these individuals find
in the evangelical hosts a refuge
for their anxieties and frustrations,
at the same time that they seek
to impose their opinions and concepts,
often devoid of logic and coherence.
Literarily, they can be compared
to tragic characters,
whose lives are marked by an incessant
search for...

She Rose in Power
I swear I died one day.
Not in a grave, not in the flesh,
But something in me left.
Like my spirit packed its bags and said,
"I can't live here no more."
Three years before the world shut down,
I was already a ghost in my own life,
Trapped in a body that ain’t feel like mine.
Seventeen years deep with love that outgrew me.
Since 11th grade, I called it home—
But home ain’t supposed to suffocate you.
One morning, I woke up,
And the love that held me together?
It felt like chains.
So I let it go. Had to.
And...
