I vibe at the confluence of purple and pink

I swim in aqua
prescient dreams
a tranquil pool of trust

Breathing
As we lie in silence
the violence of our love
fades into echoes.
We evade the reality
of the daggered words spoken.
Our love is broken
but we peace it together.
While we are at a cease-fire
you place kisses over the wounds
where there were no misses.
I place my head on your chest
and rest easy for the moment.
You find it soothing
to unwind the ringlets in my hair,
strumming melodies.
I hum acoustics
with the air from my lungs
allowing our love to be self-aware.

Good morning Del. How you doing lover?
It sucks that you have to work today. Yet it's cool, that you're working the holiday so that you have an extra day when you come visit again. Kinda like how I'm working tomorrow, whether I'm over this flu or not.
Isn't modern technology great? Our two video calls for celebrating New Year's last night. Once for my midnight and then for yours an hour later. We hung in there! I knew you had to work today. And yeah, my flu (a cold, covid, the lung plague, whatever it is) had me a little blah. Thank god for our resilience and humor! ...

Can't Get Back To Sleep
Wide awake at 5 am
and slightly frustrated
on this cherished Saturday
This is the day I can sleep in,
but this brain won't let me
Thinking about things I've put off
and how I'm being screwed over by someone
Not a healthy start,
I agree.
And then there is Christmas.
Working in retail,
it takes on a whole new dimension
those songs relentless since November
almost encouraging a rebellious urge
to resist it as long as possible
It will be another gamble
to see if that thoughtfulness ...
