Bad Choices
Does it drive you mad deep inside?
Knowing that I read through the lies
It’s your tone the suggestion implied
As darkness slowly claims your eyes
Eventually the wheels fall off the car
Tired engine sputters going nowhere
Too busy wishing on some falling star
Always present but never really there
Never wrote a word to those songs
Lent my mind recorded some voices
Putting focus back where it belongs
You kill your music with bad choices

a saw blade to the guts
The first time I
kissed your bleeding
knuckles,
was because you punched
a steel wall
when I called you
a liar
and I apologized
and huddled
against your
side
desperate
to feel our
languid heat
against my cheek
and we sat
here.
right the fuck here.
in the dark
sobbing
for things
we couldn't describe
and lives
we shouldn't steal
but we did
we stole those lives
stole the fuck out of them,
and...

burn
come fiercely and burn the night
ashes on the wind keen
I'm in no mood now blow
insincerity of hope bleed truth
I am no toy
heathenistic I get from my knees and rise
insulting larceny stole my joy
petty thief of the heart
I want it back
I am willing a debt to my soul be paid
jilted storm where will you rain?
inside my pain you are welcome
twist my feelings until they are honest
lustful hex you are next to bleed tears
cold demeanor in the skies of a trickster
I hurt but I will get over it ...

Don't take knowone for granted
It's true what the elders say that we should never take nothing for granted, as this is life in real life time. For sure do you know for sure that tomorrow, isn't a promise 🤨 for it's a blessing in the form of a gift, to have and behold of a precious kind of life, as well as a beautiful blessing sometimes as a disguise. For sure it's never good to be taken for granted, just like love and happiness of a kindness of a beautiful heart. ❤️ But yet there are those who are creatures of habits, that just don't want to do right for they prefer to do wrong, 😔 to someone...

Let's Get Cynical, Cynical...Again
I despise people who are two-faced liars
They pretend to be something they’re not
They get mad when the truth is too hot handle
Then change the narrative when they get caught
I dislike individuals who are duplicitous
They smile but talk smack behind your back
Acting nice in one place but toxic in another
Their narrative is a bunch of poppycock
And if they get political
It’s cynical
They’re so hypocritical
It’s miserable
I don’t want to hear that gaudy talk
Nope, I don’t want to hear that bawdy talk ...

I'LL BOTHER YOU NO MORE
YES
I am a slow
learner but
once I learn
it is never
forgotten or
worth spending
idle time trying
to go through
a dead-end..
I
tried being coy,
casual and up front.
sometimes feeling
a brief ray of hope;
BUT
I have learned another
lesson in the life
of a wannabe poet:
"Enough fooling yourself."
I
will never bother
YOU again.
P.S. No! I'm not leaving DUP. Thanks for your encouragement.

In Your Face
What you say to a poet should be
carefully measured, not edited.
Do not mistake caramel
and the sweetness
of silence for censorship.
If she is blind, she will still peel
one good layer of your laugh,
she will have an analyst come
to your window in the night
and scrape the breath
from your pane to ensure
you are not sneaking a secret --
if she is not blind she will
poke holes through the air,
a pocket to insert your 7th
grade fear of mundane,
you're exquisite talent
for evasion as a child, ...

BILLY - THE REVOLUTIONIST!
I feel like a revolutionist today, folks!
Armed & ready to fight prejudice -
With my words!
I had a dose of it last night.
Was told I was not welcome at a certain wine bar,
Situated here, near where I live.
Was told to watch my back -
Just because I'm English!
I only went along for the Karaoke...
Unfortunately,
The guy never saw the person behind the mask -
Never gave him a chance!
After all, I could've been the English guy,
Who fought to save his daughter's life,
The surgeon; instead, fighting...
