Up And At ’Em
Up and at ‘em…When I just wanna sleep
As luck would have it, I can only fathom having this peace…
Some imagined reprieve, that I could handle with ease, to turn the war and win the battle in me…
Dear Lord,
I plead for more…From the ground floor to soar
High from a balcony, where ancient alchemy’s released
Confounding winds with a baffling breeze
I dabble in these
Within my rabble-rousing skin
My spirit calls for action and the grappling begins…
Through the lens of these esoteric factions
Lives the fractious…Not enamored...

No one knows when their end comes
No one knows when tragedy will strike
No one knows what the future will bring
But we can make this life special
By being here while we are here
This is the secret
That now enriches my life
You can not stop the worries from coming
You can not stop the thoughts and feelings
What matters is how you deal with them
And the way to deal with them is to choose
What thoughts and feelings you focus on
And engage with
This is your freedom
Always
It can't be taken away...
No one knows when tragedy will strike
No one knows what the future will bring

In My Car
Crazy how sex and love is a mystery,
You can make love, save it in history.
Choose lust and regret, like on NDE,
I choose it now and see it on DVD.
In dilemma in this vehicle,
At a T-junction, hoping for a miracle.
Left or right, I’m under pressure,
It’s time to put that DVD on and give myself pleasure.
Feels like this car is not enough,
Water won’t clear the front window rough.
I cannot see clearly—green or red?
Guess I must innovate, open the side window instead.
In this car, trying to please everybody, ...

If you say you ain't "in it" Cuz your name is Bennett

If you don't speak up for me, or defend me, when others come against me Don't say a MuthaFukkn word about how or when I defend myself

Silk socks, cufflinks, and a touch of flair,
They're all here for one reason, don't be shy,

Concessions run out, popcorn’s in flight,
Kids on shoulders for a better sight
The buzz is real, a weh deh bredda ya a try,

Vendors hawk merchandise with zeal,

Stand Up
I’m sick of this bullshit that most people use as fuel
I’d rather be called crazy than played as a fool
What wouldn’t I give if it meant freedom?
Most people wouldn’t walk this path, but I’ve got my reasons.
Stand up and feel the fire
Reach out to ignite my heart’s desires
An organ I once thought dead and cold
Now I watch the events unfold.
Stand up; get my ass into gear
I’ll face life head-on and vanquish all my fears
I value actions over words
The unspoken language that can’t be heard.
I’m sick of this bullshit...

House of Cards
I used to think
That it couldn't stand
not my house of cards.
But lady luck has changed my hand
This game might be different, in my regards.
I used to think that
it was fragile,
The smallest of things
Even then, none could reconcile.
That it could be so easily broken,
and warped past recognizing.
All of the suites would fall away,
When we were too busy sympathizing.
But the cards weren't bent
and the money I lent
helps to pay the Joker's rent
So let's go all in now.
The house hasn't...
That it couldn't stand

As I look around me now and I see 👁️👁️ the changes before my own life. I begin to wonder what would it be like, for the next generation of our own children's and grand children's life and lives. 🤨 For truthfully are they prepared for the future that awaits them, and their own life.
