I come from the soil—
Deep, thick, rich—
Roots wrapped in stories,
Stories that echo through the veins of time,
Through generations,
Through pain,
Through survival,
Through power.
I come from the struggles of ancestors,
Whispers of wisdom in the wind,
Echoes of their strength in my bones.
They were the ones who turned chains into gold,
Who turned pain into poetry,
Who turned tears into the foundation of freedom,
So I walk heavy,
With the weight of their sacrifices.

Galadriel's Choice
Silent hope beats in the heart,
mixed with the fear of failure,
for valiance is proven in the art
of preserving loyalty in the behaviour,
when tested amid seductive trials,
the domain of inner strength,
then weakness battles in denial,
seeking excuses, while one repents.
Galadriel stood by the well
that predicts doom of the races.
As if a mirror beyond mere spells,
true teller, not of fortune, but of faces.
She wanted to ignite within
the spark of higher immortality,
not innately, despite all sin,

GARDEN OF EXCUSES
Place a fence around the Garden of Excuses for habits
To ward off the strays: dogs, foxes and rabbits
That nibble on our fruited seeds and vegetation
Ruining the livestock of our generation.
Don’t allow the rabbits near the carrots
Nor the little foxes near the parrots!
Shun them away from the garden
‘Lest they ruin the garden without pardon!
Your betrayal has no pardon
As you allowed my heart to harden
I created a comfortable cradle
Never knowing it would be fatal!

Bart’s Bouncing Donuts.
Bartholomew "Bart". My Buttercup. He’s a man of boundless enthusiasm, a heart of pure spun sugar, and ideas that would make a caffeinated squirrel look lethargic. I love him dearly. Truly, I do. But sometimes, his entrepreneurial spirit… well, it leaves me a little breathless.
For years, he’s been plagued with flightless business adventures. The "Chihuahua Chinchilla", the "Edible Eyeglasses", the "Self-Folding Laundry". (the less said about the hamster union strike, the better). I still find stray sunflower seeds in the dryer....

A Fable of Success
A camel safari and a bright red Ferrari, were parked on the road to success.
The car door was open, the salesman hope’n, I’d honor his pitch with a yes.
But the camels were braying, their owners praying, I’d hire their service instead.
Sounding like parrots, proclaiming their merits, playing to the thoughts in my head.
Not being subtle, each had the rebuttal, for whatever the other would say.
Extremely persuasive, clever and evasive, like many universities today.
One had great speed, and would surely succeed, given the favored terrain.
But...
