Ivy
Thought it was impossible
Maybe even debatable
that a mothers love could grow
Since it's inevitable
I wrote this song
'cause I wanted you to know
My love's like ivy
Growing higher
than the tallest tree
My love's like ivy
Imperfect vines sprouting
hundreds of leaves
My heartbeat goes on
even when I'm gone.
My heartbeat goes on
when you play this song
Few years have gone by
my beautiful baby girl
Had to teach you to be strong
in this cold frozen world
My little queen ...

Spoken Thoughts Through The Eyes Of A Princess
Father, will you tell me all the stories that originated out the depths of the sea
A land beforehand that defines our presence here on earth
A place in history that was preserved for you and for the generation divine calling of me
Will there be tales where the dragon slays the innocent with fire, the boogie man in black robes sitting on judgment seats
Taking breaths of Hebrew liberations to be placed in a cage to no longer pilgrimage free
I see Looming castles and exotic animals running in the wild
Fields of greenery as I walk through...

In My Mind the Years I Missed
In My Mind the Years I Missed
It was her very first day of school
I walked with her to school that day
And she held my hand all the way
We walked together quiet and sad
A little girl and her loving dad
Into the school, I led
But I almost cried when she said
“Daddy, Daddy, please don't go
Please don't leave me alone here
I'll miss you if you go”
And I might need you; can't you stay
My little Daughter, please don't cry
You'll be okay, so dry your eyes
You have me in your heart
We're together, though...
It was her very first day of school
I walked with her to school that day
And she held my hand all the way
We walked together quiet and sad
A little girl and her loving dad

But I almost cried when she said

You have me in your heart
We're together, though...

To my daughter that never was
I sit in a passenger seat
watching night’s wheels
drive towards the car
noise
and colour
softly blurring
I wonder
if that too was what
you were, my dear
passing light
kaleidoscopic
nothingness
a journey we once took
together in the deathly
December
dark
watching night’s wheels
drive towards the car
noise
and colour
softly blurring
I wonder
if that too was what
you were, my dear
passing light
kaleidoscopic
nothingness
a journey we once took
together in the deathly

dear dad
dear Dad,
you left before I could even grow up
so many times I wanted to call you on the phone
you were out of my reach
behind the veil where mortals can't cross
I'm given time to pause
to go over my mistakes
you enter my dreams with words of advice
I wish I could always take them
you have a view that I can't see
one of the great universe
you see where I fit within it
I hear you in my mind talking to me
telling me in life you were blind
you didn't know the calling placed on my life
or what just...

The Lord's Gonna Call Him Home
Hush little baby, don't you cry
Your mama's got a 12-gauge held up high
And if that boy ever breaks your heart
I'll send him where the moon meets and kisses the stars
He's messin' with my baby
And I ain't gonna tell him twice
If you come home cryin'
Kiss his Chevy and these matches goodnight
You're comin' off gentle
Something like a Preacher's daughter
The same can't be said for me,
thanks to your father
'Cause I know his kind
like the back of my hand
Just 'cause he's a male
don't make him a man
...

My Daughter Is Not Here To Give You Your Present
Merry Christmas. I'm sorry that my
daughter is not here to give you
your present. I've decided
to save her the trouble
and do that for her.
So, don't you want
to strip and
hump me
now?
