There’s a certain quirkiness about quarks
Those particles that are part of every atom
Smaller than what we can identify as small
At the core of all things we could possibly ever fathom
And yet when put together along with other elements
They seem to be the creative factor and driving force
From big stars
to violent worlds
and everything between
Quarks are the smallest beings in the universe

We Are Stardust 2
We are splendor from ancient times
Part of those particles left from the big bang
From every single atom we can ever fathom
Where life in the universe once began
We are at one with the cosmos
With every galaxy, cluster and constellation
We are a reminder of the chaos and order
Derived from an astronomical configuration
We are the memory of creation
Cherished by a macrocosm that knows no end
The answer to existence’s biggest mystery
Given only when we are able to transcend
We are descendants of eternal beings ...

Terzanelle Nr.07 — The Keeper
When the world stopped turning it was three o’ clock
the animals slept in an odd dozing state
and everything froze in the grip of pure shock
the sea hushed to silence, as flat as a plate
the sun ceased its flaring, embarrassed and hot
the animals slept in an odd dozing state.
They looked at each other to grasp what they’d lost …
When man and woman lived naked and free
the sun ceased its flaring, expressive and hot
but vultures of jealousy circled the tree
dealt their intent on destroying creation
where woman...

How Much Do We Actually Know?
What do we actually know about nature?
The things we know are what we conceive them to be.
How much do we actually know?
We don’t have accurate knowledge about everything we claim to know.
Misleading information exists everywhere.
How can we tell whether the things we know are true or false?
Some people seek knowledge about many things.
Others just want to know enough to get by.
We should not believe only what we see.
Many things exist beyond our knowledge.
Not everything we know is worth knowing. ...

~nowadays: dandelions and the dog of time
1.
the delicately hardened
strawy hued dry achenes
had set their route..
unknown
unpredictable..
wind steers
their destiny..
freely parachuting
long to shores unknown..
as they land.. just only their heady
basal seed remains .. losing their
angelic wings .. that had swam
through the wild uproarious airs

A Day Without Sun
I despise this wretched place
Where the sky forever heralds light
Sunbeams scorch and burn my face
A relentless, golden blight
I yearn for cold shade
The solace of shadowed rule
Umbral waters I'd wade
Immersed in its Cimmerian pool
I pray for the sun’s dying breath
For Nox to reign and smother more
Yet I know I plead in vain with death
This battle is lost, this endless war
From this cursed, red-dusted soil
I call to the night for its start
To end this gleaming, sky-lit boil
Return my race's starborne...

Avant Fantasia Nox
Lo, 'twas in dream’s abyssal shade I stray’d
Where no sun’s fair hand the dark allay’d
A vast and formless void did yawn
Bereft of stars, nor heralded dawn
Yet in that gloom, a beauty dire did dwell
A chasm deep, an unspoken spell
A melody strange, unearthly and dread
By mortal ear ne’er safely read
The air did quiver thick with might
Aether’s breath, both sweet and blight
Forms unshapen in the murk did glide
Neither flesh nor spirit, but worlds beside
Most who glimpse such alien grace
Would flee in haste...

15 Billion
15 billion miles from Earth
My son sits and wonders what’s beyond the universe
A bunny hops into the grass and we laugh and giggle
I think my son can be an Astronaut for Ages
We stare at the sky sometimes I don’t know why
We watch 3 crows chase a bigger Hawk
We always appreciate the beauty of nature
Go in the back yard pitch baseballs in the net
As we do, me and you are like me,we are on a string
See bumble bees times two buzzing around us
So we throw the ball back and forth ...

In Front of Us
Melding metal 400000
Putting a bearing on smooth rails
Precision sailing through Panama Canal
Brush the mirror into completion
Possessive in me 200 inch disk
5 tons of glass 2 millionths of an inch perfection
Pause before barbarity task of polishing
Job is done on Mount Palomar telescoping me
Saw the life and death of stars I’m one of them
Capabilities within you it amazes me
Hubb has seen 12 billion light years in front of us
Putting a bearing on smooth rails
Precision sailing through Panama Canal

A Desolate Pale
Betwixt the spheres, where no light treads
A chasm yawns, where silence spreads
No star doth shine, nor time can cling
In the place where black stars hang, unseen
Aether’s breath, cold and thin
Cradles neither life nor sin
No gods dwell here, nor demons scheme
Only the void’s eternal dream
The winds do howl, though none draw near
A dirge of forms we dare not hear
Shapes unbidden, unseen, yet felt
In their shadow, even chaos melts
What horrors lurk in yon abyss?
Not fangs, nor claws, nor serpents hiss
But...
