Call
Oh, you think you’re in control,
playing mind games with me?
But I’m the queen of scrambling
Brains, the one who holds the key.
The main character while
Your just background noise.
A royal flush in my hand,
no need for your bluff,
I’m taking the lead—
no apologies,
no playing tough.
This ain't solitaire,
I don't fold, I rise,
In my savage era,
I won't compromise.
You’re just a pair, and
I’m stacked to the sky,
Give me your chips,
now say goodbye ...
playing mind games with me?
But I’m the queen of scrambling
Brains, the one who holds the key.
The main character while
Your just background noise.
A royal flush in my hand,
no need for your bluff,
I’m taking the lead—
no apologies,
no playing tough.
This ain't solitaire,
I don't fold, I rise,
In my savage era,
I won't compromise.
You’re just a pair, and
I’m stacked to the sky,
Give me your chips,
now say goodbye ...

assemblin broken things
I like when other monsters
nod their heads
to the rhythm of my story
when they hear the thunder
in my throat
and recognize my storm
I’ve numbered faces in the mirror
countin backwards
til I found the one
who knew what it was to smile
without first checkin himself for wounds
somewhere along the way
I learned to speak in a language
made of scar tissue
to write pain into poetry
to find a harmony between hurt
and healin
I learned to walk again
with wings
and chains
learned the steps to...

beyond the doors
I am solid ground
with hands that remember their purpose
thoughts flowin calmly
instead of racin thru burnin rooms
I am midnight’s child
bare chested in the winter wind
scratchin at walls
that didn’t hold me in yesterday
storms burnin my throat
I am a parkin lot prophet
breathin chaos into life
hands conductin symphonies
only I can hear
I am empty rooms
with dust filled corners
where bottles once stood
markin time in liquid measures
I am all of these men
and I am none of them
never knowin if todays...

African Proverb
I am that African proverb,
the child that burned down
the whole village just to feel
it's warmth. Sometimes I can
still hear my brothers
childhood screams.
All I ever wanted was to protect him.
To stand tall against our torturers.
My mother's family were
and still are insisting on keeping
family secrets.
But not I, now I speak about
all the pain that afflicted my soul.
I see it so often people keeping
the family demons hidden.
You reap what you sow,...
the child that burned down
the whole village just to feel
it's warmth. Sometimes I can
still hear my brothers
childhood screams.
All I ever wanted was to protect him.
To stand tall against our torturers.
My mother's family were
and still are insisting on keeping
family secrets.
But not I, now I speak about

I see it so often people keeping
the family demons hidden.

Old
You loved the old me,
The girl who was satisfied
with scraps, The love you called
love— How did I lose myself in your trap?
I made you my whole world,
Sacrificed pieces of me to make
you whole, But now I see,
clear and bold, I’ll never let
another take that toll.
11:11, a sign on this road,
I’m swerving through life,
free from your hold,
Not drunk, just high on this
freedom I’ve found,
No leash will chain me,
no ties will bind me down.
I once feared the drama,
The wreckage...

You are the key
Why do you keep doing the same things over and over again, for don't you think that you have a choice to choose what you want, your own life to be in high sight of what you choose not to believe, within your own abilities to learn how to think for thyself. Why do you keep saying that you can't make it, for you still refuse to believe within thyself, and the possibility that you have the perseverance to survive, through anything that you have to face head in your own life. Why do you continue to keep repeating situations, that you know aren't what you want or need. BUT yet you still take that...

Final Thoughts
Have you ever had a moment in your own life, when you reach that point in your life where you find thyself. FEELING trapped in a place, that has been proven time after time, to not be for you. Have you ever been in a relationship, that seems in the very beginning, pretended to be apart of you for me and I for you in life. YET that was far from the truth yet beneath the surface, you find out that is from the truth. Have you ever been in a situation, that made you feel uncomfortable that, you were so afraid to even move far away. THAT the drama and chaos and confusion, made it worser and...

Cigarette Redux
Your cigarette
Smelled like the late 1970's
Camel unfiltered
At the bar at the beachfront
A certain kind of haze
My eyes fell on you
Talking Heads on the jukebox
Life During Wartime played
Sweat, glaze, punk freedom
Defiance and glory
Our late youth unfolding
Into something nevermore
Smelled like the late 1970's
Camel unfiltered
At the bar at the beachfront
A certain kind of haze
My eyes fell on you
Talking Heads on the jukebox

I adore you, more than I implore
I adore something
I no longer have the privilege to explore
I lived off what was implored for so long
I forgot what I was doing it for
Let it be, ignore what I see
Act like it was never meant to be
Especially when it’s not good for me
But there’s so much in between
I want to change
I want to be this something
But I am nothing and everything
And that’s all I’ll ever be
I wish you never witnessed me
I no longer have the privilege to explore
I lived off what was implored for so long
I forgot what I was doing it for
Let it be, ignore what I see
Act like it was never meant to be
Especially when it’s not good for me
But there’s so much in between

I want to be this something
But I am nothing and everything
And that’s all I’ll ever be
I wish you never witnessed me

The Mundane
I vanished
before the day began
fell into blackness
knowing not who I am
Drifted off
somewhere in the night
without any urge
nor desire for flight
Emotional void
dull, undefined
thoughts malformed
nothing aligned
Discovering lost
amid the mundane
a deep discomfort
feels like pain
Lacking resolve
and spiritual wealth
blindly searching
for original self
before the day began
fell into blackness
knowing not who I am
Drifted off
somewhere in the night
without any urge
nor desire for flight
Emotional void
dull, undefined
thoughts malformed
nothing aligned
Discovering lost
amid the mundane
a deep discomfort
feels like pain

Void
I am void of passion
And starved of daydreams.
I am trapped by the mundane
And the sober.
I miss the willingness to burn
For what I loved
Even if it was terribly wrong
The only feeling I feel
So starkly
That there is nothing else
Is anger
My ever constant companion
Soldering under layers
Of facade so thick
I do not even remember
Why I am this way
And starved of daydreams.
I am trapped by the mundane
And the sober.
I miss the willingness to burn
For what I loved
Even if it was terribly wrong
The only feeling I feel
So starkly
That there is nothing else
Is anger
My ever constant companion
Soldering under layers
Of facade so thick
I do not even remember
Why I am this way

AS I am me a writer
Here I am, as I am me as a writer of unspoken words ✍️ For let's take a few seconds to analyze, what I'm saying about a situation that affects, us all as writers of words ✍️ That being said is why do we judge someone else, by the entity that they use to showcase who they are in real life 🤨 But yet that is far from the truth, of who they really are in real life 🤨 For sometimes we hide behind a mask as a disguise, as we use an entity not to hide, behind a mask as a disguise. 😔 BUT to learn lessons on this subject of life. For sure as writers we...
