Killed him with a kettle bell
And steaming hot coffee mug
Left him bleeding out
Charcoal amongst burning bridges
Smouldering embers blowing in the breeze
Exiting like the gust of a ghost
Baby blue those final chapters
They well and done

Mourning & moving on but DUP is the best!
With DUP closing down, I'm looking for an alternative. None have all the benefits I appreciate here!
Since I’ve become attached to my pseudonym rubyredheart, I plan to keep it wherever I end up moving.
Currently I am trying: WritersCafe (not finding the interface very user friendly), My Poetic Side (annoys me they only allow 1 post a day so not likely I’ll stay), poetrysoup (sooo many ads & so cluttered!), Poetry.com (a fav option atm but…is anyone from here there? Finding other members is challenging unless I have a tag for search bar), starsrite (most convenient...

I keep picking the scabs with the clock hands
My bloody heel prints
marked a path from the
broken clockface to the door
where I wandered
this last time
there was a part of me
that believed we'd meet again
and a smaller part
that wanted to

to find a Walgreens
or a CVS
where I can buy
a bottle of peroxide
and a box of band aids
time only heals cuts
