Bottle's Floating in Time
Walking beside the Sea of Time. Shaking a jar of oblong yellow candy in one hand.
Watching the messages in bottles float away. Hoping the Cosmos will deliver them to the Universe.
With another bottle in his pocket to be released.
As he approaches the stairway of stars to the Altar of the Gods.
He steps lightly knowing they owe him know favor. Yet they allow him to shape a star to light for her, as it goes out into the Cosmos.
He returns to the Sea of Time. He runs his fingers through the sands of what is, what was, and what's to come.
His thoughts go back...

I used to see that sparkle in your eyes
But now the light seems dim
Buried under a mountain of lies
Only because you believed in him
I used to see your wonderful smile
But now that smile has disappeared
Sit down next to me for awhile
Things aren't as bad as you feared
Just because you were fooled by someone
Someone you thought loved you
Nothing you did wrong, could have been anyone
There was nothing you could do
Just because the one you loved was a fool
Just because you took a chance on love
No way you could...
But now the light seems dim
