Everything in Moderation
Living within your means is a different measure to each individual
Because excessive desires can lead down darker paths
If we want to experience peace and tranquility
Then we should practice control
If you try to keep up with the Joneses
You’ll find that this is nothing but a fleeting illusion
It’s as if material things won’t bring happiness
It rather creates an ending hunger
Always craving for more
In striving for moderation
I began to understand the definition between of want versus need
That from time to time I can indulge...

Cost ineffective, stretched thin and taking
Cycles of social expectation
Thievery of a living in the making
Time stolen by breath conned of material exasperation
Siphoning blood like oil into the industry
Cogs in corporate machines

The Ability to Accept
In the constant endless changes of life’s ebb and flow
Acceptance is an integral part of development and growth
Embracing the reality that unpredictability is certain
And so we should walk in accordance with the universe
Trying to resist change can be often fruitless and futile
To reach our destination we may need to alter the course
Or rather go with the flow in order to move in rhythm
Having synchronicity and agility to go along with the currents
If we set our sails and use the winds to our advantage
We must know that storms will be...

Tomorrow is a special day for my girlfriend & I. We're celebrating our one year anniversary without him. You may ask who is him, well him was my girlfriends ex-boyfriend who couldn't accept the fact that her & I were madly in love.

I wanna be like David. That man teaches all the kids. Shows them all the things they’ve always done help them do the things they never did.
I wanna be like Leroy. That man funny, down to earth. I think I am the way I am, because he showed me his ways first.
I wanna be like Jose. That man knew the path of Gods. He showed us to be that in ourselves, that it was there inside us all.
I wanna be like Lupe. That man knew just how things work. He taught us how to see the bigger plan, and which things should be done first.

After a night of some intense bowling, I saw this awesome pair of bowling shoes near the counter. They weren't black and red. They were yellow & green. Plus, they were my size. The colors looked great! I decided to snatch them. Some pimply, out of shape manager with greasy, dandruff filled black hair stopped me right before exiting the building. He said sir, where are you going with these shoes? I said these are for me. Is that ok? He snatched them out my hand and said I never want to see you here ever again. Why Not
why do so many
choose
to do work they
don’t want to do,
in order to live
in a way
they don’t want to live?
instead,
why not leap from a plane,
ride the rapids,
scale a rock face,
write, paint, sculpt,
dance,
sing?
why not choose
to walk their own path,
live in their own way.
why not become a myth
in their own lifetime?
why not invent their own myth?
fear of death follows
from fear
of living life.
why not live
fully prepared
to die
at any moment?...

Nothing New to See Here
The days drag on, yet I still continue on my path
The volcano’s about to erupt with all this built-in wrath
I’m expected to push on without any complaint
I’m a struggling human being, not some perfect saint.
I do bother to stick to my convictions
Because I’m sick and tired of acting on presumptions
This planetary war between love and hate
Is making it harder for me to separate…
The reality of life from what I truly yearn
Dreams are dead was the hardest lesson to learn
Yet here I am, still struggling ever more
My body’s chained...
