What it Means to be a Fool
I am death
I am a murderer
I am evil
I am darkness
I have pushed your tears to fall to their death
I pushed your love over a cliff
I pummeled your home to rubble and burnt it all
I crushed your heart to a foolish song
You screamed in silence and took it all
I accepted what you gave with no thought to reward
My ears hollow caverns as your pleas rang through
Your hearts desire, my inconsiderate wish
Under pressure you stood strong
A home on your shoulders with no help at all
Your arms stretched...

As soon as people
Get close to me

I can’t handle it
Can I leave?
Will you be angry?
I don’t think I deserve
Your love and support
And the laughs
That come out of your lips
You don’t deserve someone
Who doesn’t reply to texts
Until 3 days later
Because texting is not enough
But then it becomes too much
And suddenly
I have a best friend
And another dad

I thought if I closed my eyes,
As I burned you.
I wouldn’t have to listen,

I understand now how that makes no sense,
My eyes and ears aren’t connected.

So It Is ~ So It Be
dreams come to life as if yesterday
so many memories still awaken me
why doesn’t the past remain lost
every dream takes me back in time
where words of poetry flowed freely
now all is silent within my soul
perhaps a lesson has not yet been bloomed
words shackled to emotional reprieve
I’ve not been fair admitting cruel truth I gave
something in the misty purple moon light
seems different tonight as it casts judgement upon me
