Savannah dreams
Something languid
rolls through
blue skies
while cumulus clouds
dig rails in my mind
A shoeless man in
Forsythe park
plays a Bob Marley
gospel medley
on a guitar with
surfer stickers
as pairs of
Junior WASPs
court on a
checkered blankets
And his polo is just so,
And her pink bow
and blond hair fall
like shampoo commercials
I smile
and watch the way a
woman in a red wig
twists balloons into animals
while the fountains
run post-parade green

Our song made me hide in a taco joint
You called me
your beloved
as your misty
body broke my
reservations
and my granite soul
melted
at your tender
generosity
and the honest way
you wanted me to heal
my heart.
my whole fucking heart
I need you
I walked Savannnah
and found a taco joint
in the middle of a suburb
and our song came on

ballad with quavering
voices singing trite
notes to words
that somehow
became a vow

What Am I Waiting For?
Waiting for someone,
Who doesn't talk.
Hiding behind,
Writer's block.
I'll brew you up,
Like chicken stock.
I'll be waiting for you;
Watching the clock.
If clocks could watch,
And watches can clock....
I'd add them to my,
Wifi Hotspot.
Open to the public.
I kid you not.
Unfamiliar faces,
And connecting the dots.
I know you well,
But I don't know your thoughts.
Just expressions of strangers,
While I'm on the clock.
You hide in my mind,
As I carefully...

With your calm, quiet attitude.

as through the thoroughfade,
you caressed the luminence
'round you, the butterglow
of highest noon
nestled on every jawdropping
inch of you.
i bathed in the Tahoe of
those eyes, buried demons
and face in Gaian hair,
savored the scent of petals
and readiness lost in
the timelapse of maturity.
rushed seemed the freefall,
all gravity and disbelief
and dishevel, but still
i hear the sweet siryn
of your whispers. come
here, come home.
and the hand is averted
as it approaches; no...
