You know I can't stop thinking about you
For the last two nights I've been dreaming about you
It's always the same dream, you don't want me
This morning I woke up and I swore it was real
I lay there for a while and thought about all the things that I had to do in the dream
How fucked up it was and it took me that long to figure out it was a dream
I thought I had it beat
I thought I had you out of my head for good
I must have slid back because now you're all I think about
I was so proud of myself
I was actually healing
But now I'm back in...

then I hear the rustle of leaves
and that wind so jealous
pulling your hair

Watching the Ivy Grow
I know the nature of your mind
Obsessive planning, minutes gained and hours trashed
My name gets lost in traffic
But nevermind the flowers, chocolates, or intricately scripted card
There’s an old, old house I recall
We used to pass it by
Perfect cobble walls, and cedar planks saturated with the scent of abandonment
It is a familiar smell we both know

It's almost 2am
I woke having to pee
It's so dark in the living room
But one thing was still clear to see
It's almost 2am
And I am back in my bed in tears
Because my father's chair is still empty
Him being gone was always one of my biggest fears
It's almost 2am
And the room is silent and wrong
I miss the sounds of his TV
Even the sound of him breathing is gone
