I sit on the platform, alone in the dust,
Where the wind whispers secrets, and the earth turns to rust.
I chose this place, far from the crowd,
A ghost of a dream, where hope’s still loud.
We spoke of a future, a place to call ours,
But now it’s just silence, beneath the cold stars.
I build on this land, so barren and dry,
Where the echoes of “us” are the only reply.
I turn to the road, where nothing appears,
Just the empty horizon stretching for years.
The silence stretches like a noose around me,
A soldier lost, or perhaps...
