don't leave me...
where are you, my darling?
you no longer visit me in my dreams...
i tried searching you among the stars
but all i could find was traces of your fragrance
lingering amongst the stellar streams.
where have you gone, my sweetheart?
are you hiding behind the lovely moon...
i enquired but it only assured me
saying you would return soon.
night is my refuge
cos it's then when i dream
and meet you soul to soul ...

Life Carries On
I can't believe your lying there
Silent,
my tears can't cry
You left the life we shared
Endless days after you died
Stars glisten in the night
Please come back to me
I need a sign from you
I miss you, can't you see
One last look at you
As I think back to our lives
I touch your face
Where your spirit lies
They close the coffin
I can't accept your gone
I'll see you on the other side
Silence beckons me, life carries on
Silent,

I think of you often
for all the wrong reasons
and maybe a couple of right ones
the right ones that you discarded
because they felt insincere
have never stopped haunting me
if my obsession wasn't obvious
my affections should have at least
been spared your anxious pruning
the mortal fear of believing love
could bloom in the dankest of crevices
that, years of friendship could outlive
the conspiracy in your head, instead.

Road to Nowhere
Time passes by so slow it's a wonder it ever comes at all
Just yesterday you left, I know - still see you in my mind
It's only temporary, or so that's what we both agreed
But hearts have a way of changing beats and fate can intervene
Tryin' to find my way along this road of make-believe
Searchin' for the truth, should I believe these things I feel?

Tryin' to find a way back to your heart

With your calm, quiet attitude.
I find you like the truth.

The weather decays as they view....

Our song made me hide in a taco joint
You called me
your beloved
as your misty
body broke my
reservations
and my granite soul
melted
at your tender
generosity
and the honest way
you wanted me to heal
my heart.
my whole fucking heart
I need you
I walked Savannnah
and found a taco joint
in the middle of a suburb
and our song came on
the muzac speaker
some 1990s
ballad with quavering
voices singing trite
notes to words
that somehow
became a vow
...

Savannah dreams
Something languid
rolls through
blue skies
while cumulus clouds
dig rails in my mind
A shoeless man in
Forsythe park
plays a Bob Marley
gospel medley
on a guitar with
surfer stickers
as pairs of
Junior WASPs
court on a
checkered blankets
And his polo is just so,
And her pink bow
and blond hair fall
like shampoo commercials
I smile
and watch the way a
woman in a red wig
twists balloons into animals
while the fountains
run post-parade green
...

Waysiders
If you don't mind I'll stop here, you've still far to go.
Little more than something to destroy, for you to grow.
It won't matter, some here don't get peace.
Afforded painful memories of the gifts they must release.
It's where they stay, they're not here to belong.
Merely breaths exhaled singing someone elses song.
Not worth pity, they're here to leave behind.
You don't miss the shadows when the light you seek is shined.
Keep going, don't waste the love you've kept reserved.
Though I truly love you, yours in return is undeserved.

No eloquent way to express
All the feelings I have for you
A messy assortment of sadness and love
I miss you.
I break down in tears
From the despair
Crying deeply, the insurmountable pain
Causes me to begin laughing in the midst of my grief
How can she have such a profound impact?
Greeting me in the morning,
Waiting for me to awake
From my life with you
You live in my can of beer
Thrive in my flower;
But you’re not there

Waiting for someone,
Who doesn't talk.
Hiding behind,
Writer's block.
I'll brew you up,
Like chicken stock.
I'll be waiting for you;
Watching the clock.
If clocks could watch,
And watches can clock....
I'd add them to my,
Wifi Hotspot.
Open to the public.
I kid you not.
Unfamiliar faces,
And connecting the dots.
I know you well,
But I don't know your thoughts.

While I'm on the clock.
You hide in my mind,
