Thinking of you…
Hoping all is well…
Of course, I miss you!
I felt like parts of you escaped your walls today
and found me, brought me sprinkles of your love; such a storm of thought I sense in your mind and heart! I’m sorry I do that to you. If I knew how to be your calm, I would! I just wish you didn’t feel the need to run and hide and push me out. But there’s so much I wish…
For now, I just wanted to say goodnight before I sleep.
Would you let my dream come visit you?

in laughter's swirling air
I only hear
Just those things needed
No longer plagued
with those cold disassociated ends.
Horrific dark, abated
Ohh, how fortunate
to a mind's unusual quirk
I actively listen,
at last, ready to ingest

With a heavy heart I know I love you
With a heavy heart I feel I care
With a heavy heart I wonder sadly
Are you even really there
I cannot see you, hear or feel you
Yet at times your ghost I sense
And I wonder is it childish
To hope in a future tense
Please, tell me it’s really you
I have no honest clue
To justify this baseless belief
That your love for me could hold through
All I know is I deeply miss you
All I know is the sorrow I cry
All I know is these tears in my eye
I’m living a lifelong sigh ...

daddy
my dad was a crop dusting pilot
no pretenses there he was a good ole boy
he was a proud man and a shit kicker
cowboy boots and all
a real womanizer
he loved the ladies
he had a love of guns too
but his soft spot was reserved for his different little girl
I liked to read and had a high intellect
but I was odd
down deep I think my dad knew
I would never fit
he drew hard lines for me
and I never crossed them
until I did
what did my dad know he thought in simple terms

To describe this feeling?
Because none of the synonyms fit
You’re not misplaced or lost
Well, maybe some… but not really
Absent? Far from it!
You’re present in my thoughts
More than there are hours in the day!
Have you escaped, evaded or eluded me?
Perhaps…yet, I don’t think that was your intention
