Parson's nose, Rose, Mary and some Time
I find it difficult remembering stuff
and my brain developed a way to cope
for example Basil could be found
in Faulty Towers and Coriander
found in Coronation street...
Parsley could be teased from Song
which I'd sift through to also find
Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
Sorrel could be found in Cowboy Films
just don't ask me why. In the same vein
Chervil was hid in the Three Musketeers.
Tarragon has great virtue.
Dill developed into something Risque. ...

My Least Favorite TV Show
Once I became an adult
I never looked back
Goodbye to my mom
Good riddance to my dad
Realization was never easy
So I know this show too well
The ice cream melts as we walk
You look me in the eye and you tell me
Everything I thought about at seventeen
And I've seen this show before
A glass of water can't put out a fire
But I should of had buckets ready
When I had never stomped out the ashes
I watch as the TV plays my life again
With a new main character I want to save
How can I help you face what...

Dry straw piled high
On a horse-drawn wagon
The mare was asleep
Dreaming of clover

Poor Tommy Was Found In The Master Bedroom
Poor Tommy was
found in the
master bedroom
crying after
hearing that
his parents
were both
killed by some
guy who was
drunk while
driving.

Ashes to Ashes
So heavy are the dues of man
That his feet be grounded in this earth
With not a care to be entrusted
For when the bane of life draws near
We can only accept our fate 'twas written in stone
To receive that friend which we call death
And when we then descend to dirt
Our chains be broke, no longer linked
Dust to dust as we once began
That his feet be grounded in this earth
With not a care to be entrusted
For when the bane of life draws near
We can only accept our fate 'twas written in stone
To receive that friend which we call death
And when we then descend to dirt
Our chains be broke, no longer linked
Dust to dust as we once began

Return to Sender
Shaped by the vibration
of your
projectorial plane
with a force
proportionate
to the energy
you gave;
like a ricochet,
your words snap
back in your face.

Really
I heard that you should not use abstract nouns when writing poetry.
How disappointing.

See the light of day
fleeting footsteps
crunching snow and ice
yellowed pages smeared
words left unsaid...flittering
in the darkness, beyond sight
step lively through catacombs
the fetid bloom of deadwood
black cat yowling in the corner
leather clad boots stomping
kindling for the bonfire
without books we are reduced
to imbeciles who drool, fools
without the intellect to come in
from the driving rain...droplets
cutting the shade of night
It saddens me, to think the manuscripts
that burned, they will never see ...

Voicebreak
Sorry, my voice broke again
I didn't mean to trip over my own words
I guess I let it get out of hand
it happens when I get a little excited
I know when left to its own devices
my voice goes a little wild,
punches a wall and causes shockwaves
because of the passionate verbal tempest
thrashing inside,
with the urge to electrify
But they say the mind can be a prison
and mine is padded with reinforced rubber
built by anxiety patrol and the tone police,
thus when I try to speak,
my thoughts are cut in half,...

Mummy Dust
There will be hell to pay!"
I heard him shout out
shaking the rafters so...
dust drifted down
into my gaping mouth
the taste of old whiskey
as avarice
greets my dry tongue
like scorched flesh
standing to close to fire
"There will be hell to pay!"
blackbirds sing from their pulpits
craved oak benches giving me splinters
whilst I lull my days in the chapel
those scriptures that they speak
becomes gibberish in my ears
mummy dust settles,from the trestle
drifts...

Bree In A Pink Polka Dot Bikini
We all had seen Bree
in a pink polka dot bikini
walk to the pool where she
kicked in the nuts her ex, Scotty.
