Hidden in the many paragraphs I scrawl and haphazardly type,
An unintelligible phrase is burrowed in the spaces.
It’s a riddle to be broken,
Just for the smallest of hands.
A trial of the soul,
It mocks time itself.
Written only in indigo ink by the light of the moon,
A beckoning without a ballroom to dance in.
She showed me what I’d lost,
I’ll show her to the door.
I’ll interlace our fingers until she’s shivering,
Burrowed in the spaces.
And when I bring her mouth to mine,
Pardoning the flesh...
