I see it in your eyes, that quiet storm,
The way the shadows twist, the way they form.
You wear the weight like I’ve worn mine,
A burden carved in every line.
And though I’m lost, I can’t look away—
I want to pull you from the gray.
Even in this hollow place,
You’re the only thing that feels like grace.
You mean more than you’ll ever know,
In a world so cold, you’re the only glow.

Because of you
Was it a coincidence to see you once more?
Now, these emotions that once subsided have found meaning again.
I must take advantage of what can transpire and not succumb to timidity like before.
I cannot lose control. She is wonderful, but my heart is broken.
Some might say that it's okay to pretend, since I'm used to these sorrowful feelings.
My memory hasn't always been the best.
In my defense, I tend to be oblivious.
Were her glances warm, or has time turned them cold?
I must get serious.
Pondering the past will never allow me to grow.

by a knight upon a steed

and being swept off of my feet
