Hong Kong
Hong Kong
Should you be in doubt
it is Chinese through and through
not a British colony
who reluctantly had to give it back?
They introduced democracy which as
false as the American kind,
China is not a democracy.
but they
have got rid of poverty and corruption is a hanging offence.
The students in Hong Kong have led
people astray, they need a good spanking,
dreaming of an independent nation was
criminals can hide like it should be Israel.
So, let us repeat Honk Kong is Chine.

MP3 guarenteed
I tore a hole into the darkness,
Found the presents, gonna regret this.
No surprises, faking selfies,
Happy families, searching memories.
Painting photo’s in the cosmos,
Letting go of red balloons.
Coming soon to your television room,
3D TV, dumb-watches, MP3 and digital zoom.
Whatever you tweet is not my concern.
Forward in time, mobile internet burns.
One last threshold ready to cross,

Christmas Mannequins
Like sunrain
like Summer snow
like indoor fires in
the Winter cold
like icecream
made from almondmilk
while loved ones carve
some undead elk
as the birds fly
to some better clime
wish we could follow
the starlings' lead
but here we sit
unwrapping gifts
our trinkets shine in the glow
as the world burns.

Praying for miracles
Every Christmas tree
begs me to stand in its shade
to feel the light of love
Each one a portal
to the warmest place
filled with happy faces
heartfelt gestures
a place I've never been
begs me to stand in its shade
to feel the light of love
Each one a portal
to the warmest place
filled with happy faces
heartfelt gestures
a place I've never been

Underskin
Emptiness held my mind and soul captive
In a whirlwind of bitter disappointment and sorrow
The Christmas cheer brought no warmth to my heart
The cracks quickly formed on my armor
Until the dam burst.

Love Divine on Christmas
More so,
Than the ornate mantel
over the roaring fireplace.
Even more so,
than unwrapping gifts
before your open hearth -
was that divine gleam
within your eye,
I love you for it.

Chickens
As Children
sing and play.
Death remains
My companion
On this cold
Winters day.
I admire there consistency
On this season of merth.
Dead leafs fall
As Birds follow
The secret migration
Chickens hatch a plan
Drafting there retribution.
Wood smooth
Varnished with age,
I sit silently
Watching chickens
In the food isle
Scavenging turkeys
And stuffing with sage.
In memory I recall
You had since October
The turkeys will rise
And the chickens will fall ...
sing and play.

Next Christmas
As I take down the tree
I contemplate and ask
While packing away the ornaments,
"Was this Christmas my last?"
For nearly ever Yuletide
That has come to pass
There's at least one person
I've loved that's passed
And maybe next year
Underneath the Christmas tree
There will be no reason
To leave a gift for me
🎁

Christmas Trees (A Tree Still Stands)
A bare lot there stands
That used to be forested in fir balsams
Yonder past the glen,
Where chicadee nests rustle softly
Behind which place, flying they now land.
Yellow stumps now where felled
With much commotion to even birds
Their winter chirps had been overheard by
Men in flannel shirts and leather gloves,
Raining sawdust as they worked.
I saw a man the other day
With woodchips on his clothes and in his beard
Heading down from behind the hill
His eyes twinkling, greeting hello.

Christmas 2018
Peace and joy.
Love and laughter.
Warmth in my stomach
Like sitting in front of
The fireplace with my
Full heart and realizing
This is when my life
Is like a blessing.

the 12 Miseries of Christmas (12)
What Christmas Means
The holiday season approaches
Like a freight train speeding
Driverless not even a brakeman
On an emotional collision course
A painful train wreck is predicted
Tearful of the rails morbid thoughts
A lonesome whistle sadly audible
Signifies the haunting: trained ghosts
Spectres of life regretful, all aboard
The puffing and chuffing a heart beat
Its quickening felt with fear and panic
Panic of a hearts critical derailment
Destined not to reach the end of the line
Ignoring all signals and red light...
