(How could it happen to be ?
how can it have happened ? ?
So many months & she still is wholly gone
many months still gone
many still gone
wholly.
Can't make this life'thing feel substantial in any way
Near everything loved is taking it's leave taking it's leave
When are the final indignities to be dispersed? I sure as fuck
don't want to miss that at all.

(mal)Apropisms and Lesser Forms of Living
I was gonna write, but
it isn't gonna happen.
(And
why'o'why should it?)
But
I love to contradict
mySelf t'keep that
madding crowd on
their edge, though i bid
them not explode the
sheep. Strange dis-eases
abound in this strangerly
stranging hilltop plateau,
and damn it, "they" rarely
pay attention.
Sack-religious Sonogram,
Come blow that horn, the boys
are in the shithouse & girls
are in the porn. How many toxins
do it take to bring relief?
"He's up in the haystack...
it isn't gonna happen.

You can only accumulate bad karma,

tao- pay attention to signs you are going the wrong way
Tao
allows your elbow
to twist and to bend
in directions
that help you lift things
and shift yourself.
But Tao
also allows your elbow
to hyperextend and dislocate,
causing excruciating pain.
Your beneficial paths are wider than your elbow
but pay attention so you know
when tao is trying to show you
when you are about to go
in a way that is detrimental: hyperextended, or dislocated.

Philosophy For Life
When I was like Hippos Go Berserk!
no guide to show me the way
I was the untethered soul
immersed in Zen Meditation.
Though not quite Turning Japanese
decided on A Trip to South America
maybe discover my own
Book of Thorns replacing my youth
& Pocket Pal
with my Pocket Zen.
I did managed to uncover
The Hound of Heaven
amidst Sapiens in the
Southern Hemisphere
guiding me
to a new type of Philosophy For Life.

Five Buddhist poems
FIVE SHORT POEMS
A FEAR OF FLOWERS
Beneath another bright blue sky
So high
Hedges and hills, I turned away from
For all my life, I had feared wild flowers
Plastic is so safe
Yet one day I could not escape
A nearby cherry tree exploded
The speeding petal did not pierce my skin
It was soft
OPEN
Close your eyes
Open your eyes
Open…
IMAGINING
When I was a swift, I made love in the blue sky
When I was a grey seal, I made love in the sea

Out of Style but In Luck
Out of Style but In Luck
My walk takes me through a dimly lit hallway in a downtown business building of Natchez, Mississippi. From around the corner, a woman walks toward me. I immediately recognize her.
I ask her “Do you remember me?”
She smiles wide and replies, “How could I forget those bell-bottoms pants and that plaid shirt? You were mighty sassy but we got you through it.”
I smile back and reply, “Did you read my obit about me being enrolled in your typing class at the time of my death?”
“Oh, now you’re playing head games. I...

You flew so far to be self aware
From shores of friends
But to their hearts still tied
The notes of your being echoing across the seas
Transformed but somehow still the same
Robes dark red and shaven head
Christened with another name
A doctrine seeps invisible
Our silent chant the strech of weeks and months
Enrichment not in time but in its want
Any belief is a two way street of needs
To give and graciously recieve
Red river claimed you for a while
And cleaned the stains from your old life
New rebirth,...
