Light Years
The farthest back I can remember, there were already forms…forms, faces, locations. I remember seeing them and watching them like I was a viewer with no body of my own. It all felt familiar but mostly random. The people and the places didn’t seem to match and would often switch without reason. I remember feeling very strong connections to many of the images I saw, but I cannot refine a memory to a particular emotional reaction to a particular scenario.
I have no way to measure how long things went on like that, but, eventually, the forms and faces and...

Future life of our reborn spirits
Headed to the forbidden city
Where dreams soar like dragons
On wings of saffron visions
Born of conch echoes
Whose echo sings of ancient sutras
Flying on prayer wheels in the sky
As our hearts meet on a golden hearth
Where snowy leopards
Lay down with yaks
In peaceful pastures
My wife was still very much alive

What has ever been the curse
of women since the dawn of life?
What is the fear they consider the worst,
calling out only piercing shrieks and cries?
It is their death. The ugliness.
A grave the swinging cradle,
turned to deathbed of loneliness,
genes displeased, karma prenatal.
Even the most affectionate soul,
the tender understanding angel,
would provoke rejection and foul,
disgust ridiculing the honest stranger.

Snow Leopards Of Tibet
Their coats of arms bore the emblem of the snow leopard guardian of the Himalayan holy land. Tara was the wife of Gesar of Ling whose superhuman life was legendary. He fended off the evil minions of Māra the demon who tempted Buddha under the Bodhi Tree. The sorcerer of evil was no match for Siddhartha.
But one summer day in the high Himalayas Māra saw the Tibetan Goddess Tara bathing in the Brahmaputra River on the outskirts of Lhasa. Māra instantly changed form to a bodhisattva and told her there was an evil...

all too fatal place ?
I die, "The me" (of "I") (will, no doubt) die............
All die. All the flora. All the fauna. ( All sentient beings)
D i e.
( & down the proverbial road.......),
Earth dies, Sun dies, moon dies,
Solar system dies ( &all beyond) will die.
Terminal Uniqueness is paving my way,
much to my disturbance.

Shoveling Snow with Buddha
( after Billy Collins)
He shows up from out of nowhere,
of dazzling blue once the storm passes by.
Approaches with a smile, eyes of crescent moon,
offering a hand of strength and of mirth,
as honest labor of brotherly love.
I could be overthinking an uncommon sight
added to an otherwise common act.
Besides, there’s nothing out of place
when it comes to Winter at this time of year,
with my neighborhood inundated in white powder.
And I don’t question his abbreviated attire,
a...
