Oh society
ignorant scum
let's gather round
come mock
us afflicted
few
satirical rocks
thrown at glass boxes
cynical jibes
at the peculiar soul
so misunderstood
autism oh bloody autism
villain of the horde
behold experts
with firm opinions held,
diagnosing with labels
judgments fervently in BOLD
claiming to understand
to comprehend
it knows no end.

this riddle,
a sin in their eyes
rigid criteria rigid thought
failing...

the red necktie
The red necktie
He woke on the sofa, fully dressed
vaguely remembered an argument with a woman
He took a shower, made coffee
turned on the radio that told of a woman strangled
by a red necktie.
He paled under his fake tan; his tie was red, lost in
a brawl in a bar, did he? No, he was a friendly sort
he liked to think of himself, surely not…!
What to do now? Call the police and confess
To a crime, he could not remember having committed?
He looked out of the window into an empty street
Sunday morning, people were still sleeping...

i feel
i feel everything on my skin,
am aware of every hair on my body,
my ear‘s itchy and the collar on my shirt is too tight;
and everything about me seems off.
i want to scratch off my skin,
rip out all the bumps,
tear out my hair;
and numb all these feelings,
see it bleeding, draining out.
my mind greets me with a punishment
and i can’t calm down
until i can make it stop -
it fucking scares me.

the girl from Cherbourg
A girl in Cherbourg
We sat in a bar in Cherbourg a town still struggling after a war
to become just another French coastal town
Sitting with mates from the ship can be tedious, and if you
happen to be a cook, someone is bound to voice a complaint
I went for a walk, in the streets, with few lamps if one adds rain
it was a road suffering after a long war.
In the murk, a place of light, a small café/shop, a few tables
looked inviting in its simplicity; I had coffee and calvados.
A filly came prancing in, tall with long legs, full of youth ...
