devoured

Time rolled
over the edge of an era
An ancient eye found itself
tied to ancient bones
Light dwindles faster
than the pace of ticking hands
Settling the goose flesh
and lulling the Maenad to sleep

Horrible truth plays a stranger
Though you would too
if most of the world despised to know your face

and the sinking sinks
a little harder
to keep from slowing down

You've gotten a good look
at your next hand
So find the line
Find the row
Pray you play them well
