A Beautiful Elegy
An icy chill runs down my spine,
as the kiss of death touches the room.
The life drains out of her face,
an unsettling feeling of doom.
I watch as reality collapses on itself,
there's no saving her now.
My back against the wall,
I fall to the ground.
I must pull myself together,
its time to face a world.
They'll never see the beauty,
I saw in that little girl.
They drove her to this,
hate takes over me.
This is what happens,
when you listen to society.
You will be missed dearly,
see you soon my beauty.
As you were taken away,
I swear I heard you say,
“what a beautiful elegy.”
as the kiss of death touches the room.
The life drains out of her face,
an unsettling feeling of doom.
I watch as reality collapses on itself,
there's no saving her now.
My back against the wall,
I fall to the ground.
I must pull myself together,
its time to face a world.
They'll never see the beauty,
I saw in that little girl.
They drove her to this,
hate takes over me.
This is what happens,
when you listen to society.
You will be missed dearly,
see you soon my beauty.
As you were taken away,
I swear I heard you say,
“what a beautiful elegy.”
