You know some things about me
I've even told you about my past
but, I know so little about you
the history you have revealed
doesn't make a lot of sense
and it's just too sanitized
better off saying nothing
although, I sense shame
the omitted parts of life
I'm not one who judges
even a saint has secrets
but I still sense some doubts
along with the usual fears
fearing the fierce unknown
the bad that won't happen
dreading what's not to be
what are your real fears?
do you think I might hurt you?
same chance you'll hurt me
maybe it's the way I think
or is this in my own mind?
I can't stop sensing denials
do you fear what I might find?
doubt the things I say?
is your past too much for you?
or too much to remember
we all make mistakes
on a regular basis
and we'll make them 'til we die
forget the blame and regrets
stop living life around old lies
life's complicated enough
forgive what you want to forget
so you can finally let it all go
hey, why don't we just fuck?
maybe it'll bring out some truth

I don't think you realize that many women just can not deal with bad memories. We would just rather forget every last one of them! And if you're talking about the women who you meet on dating sites, good luck getting the truth from them! But all in all, it's a nice write based on wishful thinking.
Jeez Blondie...what the hell do you have against dating sites?! Yeah, I've had some bad experiences dealing with all the bullshit; but I believe that eventually I will meet someone who thinks like me...or at least likes the way I think! Oh yeah...check your damn inbox!
Update: Ok Blondie...I guess you are correct. Dating sites are only good for screwing up life's priorities!

I disagree with Blondie.
I think you can find love anywhere if two souls are seeking the same thing and are honest with each other. I think you have to put up somewhat of a guard at first to make sure you are not being played but if you take the time to get to know them and they feel the same way, you are both in for something beautiful.
I have never been on a dating site myself, but know people who have and have had good and bad outcomes. It all depends on the connection, not the site itself.
Don't give up!!!

Thanks Natalie! But I gave up a dating awhile ago. It's not that I had any problems meeting women...it literally was like shooting fish in a barrel (yes, it's a reference to POF ) I just couldn't find a woman who was like minded. I'll put it this way...I am not a mainstream thinker, and I only met women with mainstream mentalities...not that there's anything wrong with that...it's just not suitable for me
