Entwined

My growing heart glitters
with sparks of excitement
complete throes  of merriment
the sight of my hand in yours,
like rainbow colored bands

covering square tile floors
by warm spilled milk
and your kittens'
pink, lavishing tongues.
Your brown eyes secretly peeking

above your coffee cup
me knowing too well
a beautiful grin is hidden.
Outside in our back garden
fireflies are serenading us

with a secret dance
of acknowledgement.
Green flashes of light
by spinning wind chimes.
Beneath the sheets

are growing spaces
my gay heart's igniting
obsession, explosion
of sweet raindrops
two rose stems entwined

bloody from love making
leaving only amber sun
kissed lip stains, tired limbs,
and long sighs of excitement.
