to allow myself

barrier reef

human  temporal disguise        
     masking your hidden        
inner cosmic whole        
     with all my defensive        
force shields turned off        
     to dive freely into        
the open welcome        
     i sense  
awaits me  
     in the internal        
sea of your soul        
     to let go completely        
to surrender my all        
     into the beautiful        
world i suspect        
     must be awaiting me        
down there below        
     with whatever suppressed        
innate inner beauty        
     i may still have left        
here of my own        
     now yearning so ripely          
for this earthly          
     meets cosmic reunion        
so eager  so near          
     so long        
which ive grown        
     so weary of waiting for        
in my lifes        
     seemingly futile        
quest to find        
     just the right        
sustainable home        
     in which to anchor        
and root my heart        
     far away from        
way too long        
     away as well        
from further believing        
     that my destiny        
must forever continue        
     to unfold all alone        
now in this        
     new planet you are        
of temporal  living flesh        
     of blood  of bone  
animated by your eternal  
     radiant spirit and soul   
as i now so longingly        
     yet hesitantly hover        
above you here        
     in this moment        
you somehow seem        
     quite like no other        
ive ever known        
     yet with all        
my imperfections        
     seen and unseen scars        
from lifes many battles        
     those lost        
as well as won        
     my stubborn resistance        
and hesitancy here        
     seem largely based upon        
my historical fear        
     of failure and rejection        
yet still my        
     lonesome soul        
is so tired of hiding        
     of always being alone        
and of lying to myself        
     in the overly        
sensitive prison        
     of that old  self held myth        
i so stubbornly still  
     yet cling to        
and in the pattern        
     of its results        
of wasting so much        
     precious time away        
still i hover        
     here above you        
so eager to set down        
     upon  into        
your sleeping form        
     to begin my aching        
exploration of your        
     enticing  fleshy terrain        
and to surrender to        
     the even greater        
inner gravitational pull        
     of whatever wondrous        
subterranean discoveries        
     and deeper pleasures        
your erotic being        
     may hold  to meld into          
my heart and mind        
     too slowly ripening        
despite its impatient        
     inner hungering        
for this uncertain
