Blood Stain on the Red And White

This one is translated from the original Indonesian version. I'll put the original right under this one :)

"See? I told you all this
would never ever finish!
History is weird, it just won't
move on, and instead repeats"

Like graffiti on city walls
Murals on the streets, on train stations
It is the truth
that is a crime

Everyone is promising
"I will make this country better!"
But they don't try
they turn away, hands to their ears and eyes

What is happening to the world?
Are we blind and deaf
To what we are supposed to 'defend'?
for God's sakes! now it is only riches!

Maybe right now--this moment
The nation's heroes cry in rage
if they knew--if only they knew
their sacrifice was for--for this!

maybe we are independent
from the grips of the Dutch
but are we free
from our own rotten inside?

Sacred flag of the pure courageous
what has happened?
Our flag--the symbol of freedom
stained by all these empty promises

Blood stain on the red and white
Are you not angered
if the reason we fall
is because we stray?

Indonesian:
Merah Putih Bercak Darah

"Kan? Sudah kubilang, semua ini
tidak akan pernah berhenti!
Sejarah aneh, tidak sudi
melanjutkan, dan mengulang diri"

seperti coretan di dinding kota
mural di jalanan, di stasiun kereta
itulah bentuk dari kebenaran
yang dianggap kejahatan

Semua orang tengah berjanji
"akan kubantu negeri ini!"
Namun mereka tak berusaha
hanya berpaling, menutup kuping dan mata

Apakah yang terjadi pada dunia?
Apakah kita menjadi tuli dan buta
terhadap hal yang seharusnya kita 'bela'?
demi Tuhan! sekarang itu hanya harta!

Mungkin pada saat ini juga
Pahlawan negeri menangis murka
Jika mereka mengetahui
Mereka berkorban untuk--untuk ini!

Mungkin kita telah merdeka
dari jajahan Belanda
namun apakah kita bebas
dari kebusukan dalam yang keras?

Merah Putih suci dan berani
apakah yang telah terjadi?
bendera simbol merdeka
ternoda janji belaka

Merah putih bercak darah
apakah engkau tidak marah
jika alasan kita kalah
hanya karena salah arah?
