Miracle
Miracle
By Ashraf Hamed Junior
“Dedicated to a wish of mine, may it bloom one day in my life”
She sat at the window
Brushing her hair
Waiting for someone, who wasn’t there
She often dreamt of someone new, but alias that dream has not come true
She often read books in her spare time
They consisted most of great authors, most never heard of till now
She sat at that window
Wishing for him to sweep her away, but her feet planted in the ground
Till this day
Some say it is destiny, fate, the planets, the stars, or maybe the moon
We all don’t even know
But she wished one day, he might come to her rescue
Something in her stories, she only wished he would come
But alias, it began raining ending this thought completely
Will it ever stop raining, and the darkness flood away?
Will the sun shine, and make the grass grow on my lawn today?
The grass is greener on the other side, but the other side could mean anything to anyone
The storm is clearing, she’s going to bed
He sat in his car
Playing some sort of music, only to those, who understood it
He stared at a picture, everyday, every moment, he wished he had the strength
Who did she fall in love with, or so she says
Time like these come only when we are young, but dissipate when we grow old.
He was a reader, followed her every book, to the ‘T’ some would say
He sat in his car
Playing some lullaby, wishing he had a voice, the body of which he could take her away
Far away, but alias his feet never left the ground, only to be left handed, only by force
But at some misfortune, it began raining ending this thought completely
Will it ever stop raining, and the darkness flood away?
Will the sun shine, and make the grass grow on my lawn today?
The grass is greener on the other side, but the other side could mean anything to anyone
The storm is clearing, he started driving, in the darkness he would stay
Some stories don’t have a “Happily Ever After”, some just end wrongly
This story, our story is still continuing, lives wonderful sin, love will be planted one day
Will it ever end, will she get the man that rightfully belongs to her?
Will it ever end, will he get the girl he admired from afar?
Miracles do happen, just don’t loose faith, happiness, and love…Amen
