WRITER'S BLOCK

I’ve been hanging out on the block all day
With nothing to do… not much to say

Just loafing around
Watching the authors and poets

Nothing much going on
And I guess they all know it

Its just one of those days
Where it’s hard to get on it

Can’t seem to find
That “Aha” moment

Can’t seem to form
The words in my mind

I may as well be
Deaf, dumb, and blind

So I stare in the distance
To the ticks of the clock

Hanging out doing nothing
On writer’s block!
