Everlasting

The guilt of this world doesn't stand a chance.
I'll open up my heart if you ask me to dance.
The sorrow, the pain, and the anguish to come
won't mean a thing.  The war's already won.

So what happens when we forget?
We tell lies, break ties, in all honesty, we're a mess.
There's no such thing as broken, only lost.
It's funny because we broke you on the cross.

Now if I think about it, this life is real.
God's not a dead idea, He's that thing you feel
When you're at your lowest of lows or highest of highs
Energy upheld in glorious might.

Shattered windows just mean more space to come through.
When did this life become all about you?
Your preciousness reigns in a glass filled block
While God's lasts forever, no such thing as a clock.

The spirit shoots through your veins in a timeless way
He'll never leave, but you'll never stay.
You tell yourself that you've got time
You got the rest of your life to make it right.
That's a LIE!

Today is when it starts and tomorrow it continues
That's when you'll notice God's love in you.
Marking every second with a hope of repair
Listen to these words. I know God is there.
