A trip to tomorrow
Is the most drunken journey
We had ever embarked upon.
Setting to begin at cock-crow
But at noon, it already seems a folly
To keep on keeping on.
With roads rough, winding and narrow
And heavy loads of dream we carry.
Hardly ever a stop for fun.
We grew tense with sorrow
Even though we were very many
And always had someone to lean on.
Now, it’s obvious we'd never get to tomorrow.
It is such a journey
That will continue until we are gone.
