Men Only

The young women
Mock us in silence
When we vehemently
ignore them
In the light of day.
Saying they
carry bread and stew
To the three-path junction;
That they have flowers
At the place where
Three paths meet;
That it is not good
For the traditional African man.

They mocks us in the secret
Chambers of ferminity
Because they know that
In the dark shades
Of our closets,
We keep leaking or licking
Till we reveal
What happened in ‘69.
When swollen men were made
To kiss the same spot
Where they came from.

They mock us because they know
We are only men outside.
Inside we crave like hungry infants
To sucks for sensual milk.

So they mock us secretly
When we show off by day.
Knowing that by night,
Between their thighs,
We’ll submit to their power over us.
