Flight
Instruction given in soft even tones
Encouragement while holding on
Releasing was hard for them both
When the hand slowly fell away
There was no surprise of their pride
The smile on the father’s face
The laughter of the child
As she took flight and road away
It was beautiful to behold
Encouragement while holding on
Releasing was hard for them both
When the hand slowly fell away
There was no surprise of their pride
The smile on the father’s face
The laughter of the child
As she took flight and road away
It was beautiful to behold

Just the way I wanted,
thanks for that Miki
I think the next to last stanza should have been left off, but I'm so glad you got it and enjoyed it.
Much love

Yes. But at times they are missed...the flown ones. Glynis as usual your expressions are beautiful.

Thank you Grace, it means so much
Yes, they fly away, but sometimes, they fly back to us.

Luv'd everything except the "training wheels" verse. To me it diluted all what came before. Extracting much of the cleverness
you had achieved in this piece. Least for me, the wheels kinda popped the balloon.
