Follow the Leader
Splintered finger tips reach
Lingering on my skin
Enclosing a tight grip
Around my scarred wrists
The bone chilling hand
Becons me in its direction
Forcing my lifeless body to move
One step at a time
I obey
One foot in front of the other
Following the leader
Transported to a wilted land
Reaking of the dead
Putrid in its decay
Filling my lungs with black
Capturing all thats left of me
The grasp gets tighter
Willing me to pause
Dead in my tracks
Begging for directions
Panic arises
As the shrivled corpse's hand releases
Retreating from me
Leaving me alone
To fend for my own
At a loss
My mangled body drops
Cold and lifeless
It weeps
Wanting another to guide it
Show my body the way
Trapped in a land
I don't understand
Molded to the spot i lay
Begging the hand to return
Pleading for it to lead the way
Lingering on my skin
Enclosing a tight grip
Around my scarred wrists
The bone chilling hand
Becons me in its direction
Forcing my lifeless body to move
One step at a time
I obey
One foot in front of the other
Following the leader
Transported to a wilted land
Reaking of the dead
Putrid in its decay
Filling my lungs with black
Capturing all thats left of me
The grasp gets tighter
Willing me to pause
Dead in my tracks
Begging for directions
Panic arises
As the shrivled corpse's hand releases
Retreating from me
Leaving me alone
To fend for my own
At a loss
My mangled body drops
Cold and lifeless
It weeps
Wanting another to guide it
Show my body the way
Trapped in a land
I don't understand
Molded to the spot i lay
Begging the hand to return
Pleading for it to lead the way
