Dream or Reality?
Static and Electricity
Forever locked in this cage
No one knows how far it goes
No light here
except the slight discharge
as someone gets the nerve to touch the gate
another body fried while the rest cower
cower in the dark
not knowing when it will end
Only given enough food and water to keep us alive
to make sure we can endure this punishment
A scream off in the distance
another discharge erupts lighting the cage
Voices erupt around me
are they in my head or all around me
Taking off running, we don't stop
More static and the voices start disappearing
11,10,9,8 all the way down to 1
the cage now alite with electricity
a ladder showing the way out
reaching out to touch the ladder
a shock and everything goes black
gasping and thrashing I wake up in bed
Just another bad Dream or Reality instead?
