A Lost Stone
A lost stone
thrown across a calm lake
has a lasting effect
from the first ripple it makes
It starts out with one hit
but before its over
and reaches its destination
it sinks lower and lower
without hope of revocation.
When someone hurts you for the first time
it will feel like this, trapped inside
like a person who committed a crime.
And it will continue to build
till you wish to no longer feel
the pain of its infection
that is too fowled up
to be disinfected
No matter how hard you try
and how much you give
how many times you say
that you forget and forgive
the ripple is still there
having more to give
with you having less to bear
because if you live you life
by this one stone thrown
you will sink to the bottom
and live a lonely life, alone.
