I Should Write A Poem

I should write a poem
to comment on life.
To say that life is worth
living.
 
I should write a poem
to share what I feel.
To let everyone know that I am
filled with emotions I cannot describe.
 
I should write a poem
to tell a story about the dreams  a little girl had.
To remind her that though she forgot them
they were never lost.
 
I should write a poem
to speak the truth.
To tell you I love you and show you
that nothing else is worth much to me
if you aren't there.
 
I should write a poem to speak
about silence.
Because I love oxymorons and I love
confusing people into thinking I'm
sophisticated.
 
I really should write a poem,
but I'm stuck here wondering
what on earth I could possibly say that would make this world
better.
