Bully
Push me down again, feel like a man now?
I haven’t done a thing yet you lash out with violence
Like a lion pursuing a gazelle for his lunch
Chasing me down hallways and alleyways
Beating my face to a pulp, admiring it like art
Leaving me with emotional scars that will never fade
Raping my ears with pointless name calling
Each verbal blow dealt like a dull knife to my heart
Others just watch and allow you to continue
I scream for help and they tell me it’ll be okay
Holding campaigns, feed me lies that they care
But no one wants to stand up against a bully
Morbid thoughts draw me closer to a blade and suicide
This is all you’re doing, your perfect creation
For me to die is what you after, isn’t that right?
You sure tried your damn hardest when you bully me
I hope there is a special place in hell for you
Because you caused enough of it in this life
And when you die no one will ever miss you
Because you were just a fucking BULLY
I haven’t done a thing yet you lash out with violence
Like a lion pursuing a gazelle for his lunch
Chasing me down hallways and alleyways
Beating my face to a pulp, admiring it like art
Leaving me with emotional scars that will never fade

Re: Bully
Good poem with important message.
Glad you are putting it out there.
Bullies to go straight to hell.
Don't let them get to you.
Too many have already succeeded :(
Good on you, raven! Be strong.

glad you feel that way! Bullying is a major problem hardly being dealt with nowadays. I was bullied back in the day but was lucky enough to survive. Thank you for reading and the positive feedback!

You put your anger into beating and defending words. It's scary but so raw and true I only can admire it.
I.
I.

Thank you! I had a lot of pent up emotions after watching a documentary on bulling yesterday and reflecting on being bullied in the past. Only cure is to write on. Appreciate the kind words

I like the imagery you put into your work.
As I was reading a few of pieces, they had plenty of imagery. I give you kudos.

This was a good poem. And I can totally empathize because I was bullied from kindergarten to ninth grade when I finally switched schools to go to one with such a high level of education people don't have time to bully me anymore. Although they do still make fun of a special needs girl who gave me a birthday card five days ago and a gay kid who is only ever nice to everyone.
My recommendation: watch the YouTube video "to this day" if you haven't already. It ties in with this poem.
