And I Wait For You

Stomach churning from despair and desperation
Awaken from sleepless nights and unease thoughts
My heart beats to the rhythm of my frustration
My eyes catches glimpse of your reflection
I reach out to you
Only to realize that my mind is a sick son of a bitch and your reflection is an mere image of my hallucination
I’m waiting.

Falling ill with neglect from you
I’m torn at the thought of you
Reasoning my desires for you
I’m hurt by you
I want you
I’m waiting.

My days are as dark as midnights
And my midnights are as long as the Nile River
I smile with insanity
My cheeks puff up with anxieties
“All the single ladies”…. please
My eyes swell up with tears of rejection
No connection, just yet and I feel like I’m losing
My touch has become too familiar and I can no longer fill this void
I search my hands for your heart
I bite pieces of you everyday and feed it to my spirit
I call out your name in a whisper
Can you hear it?
I’m waiting.

My skin exudes the fragrance of your masculinity
I hide you in my secret place
I embrace your smile and stick my thoughts into your dimples
Embedded deeply within you, I write my initials onto your heart
I look into your soul and see my own reflection
I question your precaution
I want in…  I want in….
I’m waiting.
